Double Trouble but twice as nice

Well its a week since MGs course and the facts and figures are still firmly planted in my head:D
Mind map is proving useful I have knocked a few more things off.
Yesterday was a bit frustrating after sorting out DDs carpet went to order her new bed only to find it had doubled in price as special offer had ended which they failed to warn me would happen so there was no way I was going to pay that if they were making a profit at half the price they are now ripping me off:mad:
Saw another bed I liked better but it is completely out of stock everywhere and has to come from the Far East
So have been on preloved and ebay but cant make up my mind so need to sort that out.
Got home to find pretty pink paint is more lilac than pink so for the time being we are only painting above the border in that and putting white on the bottom to keep the lilac away from the carpet will have to reassess once the carpet is down whether we need to repaint:(
Did put up her new butterfly lampshades I got from Dunelm and they look great hoping border might arrive in post today it has been dispatched
OD came round last night which was really nice:j
Right going to go to car boot now to see if I can find any buttons or beads or useful stuff

Thats a bit of a setback - but good for you for not just putting up with it, and finding an alternative source.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Back from the car boot
Didn't find any buttons or beads
But did find organza gift bags which were a third of the price of the ones I was looking at on ebay last night and slightly larger making them just the right size I need for my snowflakes
Also bought some earrings which are very pretty came with a free organza bag and I am sure I can resell them for a profitand if I can't they are really nice and I have a selection of colours so I will have a pair for every occasion :rotfl::rotfl:
The woman is there every week so a potential supplier if things go well :money:

OK you would think I would have got a grip on this MSE lark by now but sadly not
As my little boy was pushing the tesco toy catalogue under my nose this afternoon it suddenly dawned on me that toys are part of the tesco double up voucher scheme so a quick look has revealed that one toy my daughter wants is out of stock and one toy my son wants is not in tesco but the rest are including stuff I have been asked to get by other members of the family for them. So as I have a large stash of Tesco vouchers which I have checked on line to make sure they are all there I reckon I can get all their christmas presents from everyone except for the 2 toys above and if my little girls one comes back into stock in time I will be able to get that one too and the cash I get from other family members can be used towards the unobtainable toys and I can get my little girl's bed and mattress because they are on the double up offer too:D:D:D
So that means toys for kids free in reality because I struggle to use the vouchers otherwise as we dont have the restaurants etc. round here I usually only use them for RAC and magazine subscriptions and driving lessons and a free bed and mattress - why did it take me so long
I really need a kick up the posterior sorry :money:I am really very stupid and I don't have to go round Toys r Us :jso win win all round.
Going to go and have a bath now and see if any more bright ideas leap into my noddle and then when the kids have gone to bed do my order and that will be a giant leap forward on the Christmas front too - joy oh joy
One very happy

I'm glad you're happy DT - you're beating yourself up like mad on that post, but you just saved yourself a mint! Be kind! And enjoy the bath.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Wot KC said.
I always forget about the tesco vouchers because I look at them and then don't work it through in my head what I can do with them.
Well done on the realisation, and what a saving!Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Well the tesco shop wasn't as easy as I supposed a lot of stuff is out of stock I have got about half of the toys but I do have the bed and the mattress and obviously vouchers left over so I might try one of the bigger Tescos on Wednesday when I am out and about and see if I can pick up a few more or else hope some of the stuff comes back into stock before the offer runs out.
Mind you I haven't been able to place the order yet as you have to wait up to 48 hours for the voucher codes so just hope nothing else goes out of stock in the meantime:(
Still the christmas cash flow has improved greatly as a result.:j Hoping DD is coming tomorrow with her decent camera as the pictures I took of my dollshouse are not great and if I could get that sold it would make a huge dent in the rest of the Christmas expenses and eldest twins birthday pressies for 1st Jan.:)
I have decided that I have enough to do on the 50 day challenge that I am not going to look at exercise or major money making thoughts until the New Year unless something pops into my head. The reasoning being Christmas will be out of the way, the diet and the consequent travelling will be out of the way and the accounts will be completed which will give me a clear playing field to look at exercise and money.
If I can put the energy and commitment that I have put into dieting into increasing my income that would be good. I need to increase my income so that I can start dealing with my negative wealth which is going nowhere at the moment:mad:. Thinking of setting a number of increasing mini challenges income wise just hope I can think of something other than bingo, scratchies, mystery shopping etc. as I hope I have given those up for good. I will keep mulling it over in the background but a full on attack in January

Interesting that you've given up all that for good too ... I'm just finishing off one or two things now, it feels very liberating - that time is going to be used for *serious* moneymaking2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I am happy either way I don't mind my own company so don't think you have to entertain me and as I will still be on my diet regime alcohol will still be off limits  and also I am quite a bit older than you so may not have your stamina :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
A small waist is all well and good but doesn't make it easy when it comes to clothes so I am sure you will have your work cut out
