I agree with you totally there. The Tiramisu is fabulous!
In addition Merchants City area of Glasgow:
Metropolitan - fab food and cocktails
Sizzlers steakhouse - great steaks but not so great service charge of 10%
Noah - again good food, service charge of 10% for poor service
China Blossom - Very good buffet
Stirling - Smiling Jacks - very good mexican. Also second Corrieri's - fab milkshakes.Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -
Glasgow's Cool - Edinburgh's Better. ( Well NOT really )
L'Ariosto is by far the best restaurant in Glasgow but at 40 GBP a head a bit expensive for Pasta.0 -
Had a nice dinner at the Corinthian in Glasgow recently (Easter special), fab place to go with all the bars (loved the piano bar).
For an absolutely fantastic meal, I'd recommend the Champany in Linlithgow, close to Edinburgh. Most fantastic steaks and superb fish too. They have a posh restaurant and a cozy (and cheaper) bistro-style Chop & Ale House. Their website is here0 -
For budget dinners, I'd highly recommend Stravaigins pre-theater. They're at 28 Gibson Street, Glasgow West-End (close to Kelvinbridge underground). 2 Courses & Coffee £11.95, 3 Courses & Coffee £14.95. http://www.stravaigin.com0

I have to tell you that my favourite place to eat out at the moment has got to be Jimmy Chungs. It's an all you can eat chinese buffet and I have never been dissapointed with the food there.
Retaurants in Aberdeen, Inverness and Elgin, I am sure there are other places that have them, but these are the ones I know about.
Lunch is from £4.99, depending on the day you go and Dinner is from around £12.99.
The one in Union Street aberdeen is always very busy no matter what day I have been in for lunch, so booking is advisable if you don't like to sit at the bar and wait for a while. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
