Having read the recent posts I checked my e-savings a/c. I have a letter from NatWest, dated Oct 11, stating they will pay me the extra 1.85% fixed (so gross 2.85%) until "28 February 2013".0

Just finished moving my cash to NR bar £1 looking around now for a better cash ISA deal then that will go as well.0
-
Just opened a BM account. Had no offer of a better rate from Natwest0
-
I wonder how much cash has been moved out of Natwest in the last few days? :eek:0

Mines gone from Nat West also,no new offers from them, despite me phoning them,so my vote goes to Virgin Money lol0

edit oops just saw i opened my account in sept 2010 so it would have finished in sept 2011? but i can still see im earning £100 interest a month? - last interest payment was a single payment labelled as NET of just under £100 on the 31 jan rather then two single payments (previously was split as net + bonus) ,so will mine end in sept 2012 or did it end early or something i cant remember,
Netherless i can still make the jump to santander if its giving 3.1% over natwests 2.85?0 -

What you see now is just the amount since the last monthly payment...
i was seeing to payments of INT +NET totalling 100 ish between 2010- 2011
my last two payments on 30 dec and 31 jan shows a one payment of 100ish.
has mine been extended? as i checked my first online statement for my account and it shows i first paid in on the 5 Oct 2010 ?0 -

The extension seems to have been random and not based on any criterion such as amount involved or when the account opened.
Many of us received a letter around Oct 2011 advising that the bonus was extended but only until Feb 14th 2012, the message also appeared in the message box when logging in to on-line banking.
The only way you can know whether yours is extended or not is to give them a call and ask.

FYI i have just opened the santander 3.10 e saver. i understand the customer service issues in the past and cannot assume its all changed but lets just say as with all bankks a bad experience is always voiced over satisfied service.
i have now got a 3.10 santander e saver as a back up account just in case natwest does not honour the 2.85. if santander messes up for what ever reason i can always just go online and transfer it all back out to virgin money.0 -

As has been mentioned previously by members everyone's statements now show a single entry regardless of whether a bonus is being paid or not.has mine been extended?
£100pm net = £125 pm gross = £1500 pa gross
That is what you would earn if you have £150,000 in the account earning 1%. If your actual balance is nearer £50,000 then you have been getting a bonus.
P.S. The NatWest site says the account (without bonus) pays 1% gross and 1% AER. Those figures cannot both be correct for an account paying monthly interest.0
