Today's NatWest Customer Charter published report states on page 20:
"We have launched a new Customer Listening Programme where invited customers share their experience of banking with head office staff and executives".
I doubt any of us, or anyone with an e-savings account, will be 'invited' to share our experiences with head office?!........
Also, only 57% of customers were satisfied with the outcome of their complaints, so NatWest are re-training over 10000 staff.
IMO, they need to re-train their Head of Savings to be honest about their amendments to the e-savings website, & to inform all account holders about this?!....
The whole report is a load of dreary rubbish. (IMO).0 -
A complete waste of time, as I think we probably already all expected.
Here is a "customer listening event" http://vimeo.com/16238681 - one of three events (Edinburgh, Birmingham, London) and a whopping 71 customers.
My branch manager didn't know what/how the commitment actually was being implemented back in December (the last month of the 6 month period) and couldn't find anything about it on the internal RBS website either. In December I also asked if I could have a meeting with someone high up in NatWest about another issue but was told they wouldn't be able to really help, which is a shame as I'm sure I could have provided very useful feedback as part of the commitment. Instead it's a case of being fobbed off by Customer Relations, who as part of the complaints process are failing, as the results show.0 -

Tesco offers 2.9% AER (inc Bonus) for new accounts.
Note NatWest and Tesco offer variable rates plus a fixed bonus. Halifax offers variable rate instant access "for 12 months" (whatever that means!). The rate could plunge after they tempt enough people to open accounts.0 -

Highly unlikely, based on their past form on the Web Saver Reward account and on other similar accounts that Halifax have had.
It will most likely track the BOE rate for 12 months, then drop to the standard web saver rate.0 -
FYI: My complaint is now with the FOS over how Nat West misrepresented the interest rate. Nat West made me an offer of compensation which I felt was not sufficient.
If anyone else has a complaint with the FOS, please let us know on the forum if the FOS come to any conclusions? I am told it will take at least 6 months before they have time to look at my case!0 -
I have just received a letter from the FSCS saying they have informed Natwest that my claim is upheld.
I claimed interest from account opening, the net interest figure for the full year as originally advertised and compensation. I now await Natwest's response.0 -
I assume that you meant FOS not FSCS.0
-
Yes I meant FOS.0

I have an esaver opened last year and noticed this in todays Mail - although I didn't have any problems opening the account and have received the two interest payments every month, I will be checking it through tomorrow ...
