Evening all

Unlike the rest of you it's been sunny and bright here all day in Wales.

Back in work today. Lots to catch up on, and lots to prep for the new team starting next week. And mid way through the day I had a phonecall from our Welsh HQ saying that a lad from one of my teams this year that I nominated for an award has been shortlisted in the top 3 for Wales :j. The award is for 'overcoming barriers'. This also means I get shortlisted for 'champion of the year' for Wales as his team leader . We get to attend a swanky do in Cardiff in November for the Award ceremony.

After work I went to the gym. I am now all wrapped up in pjs and dressing gown . Tonight is the only night I have to relax all week as I'm very busy so I'm making the most of it. It's a bit chilly here tonight so I'm going to light some candles to warm up the place!

Not raining here yet anyway. Ds2 went on his school trip this morning, I hope he goes on okay.

Also at the weekend we got a chocolate Labrador, we have called him Buttons. We picked him as he was the quieter of the 4 left. He has been brilliant so far. However he is 15 weeks old. Will post pics as soon as I get some. He drinks loads of water but isn't very dignified, ends up dripping water all over kitchen floor!! So my os today will consist of mopping floors.

My mum's remaining dog is a chocolate lab - I don't think the drinking gets any better with age

I was thinking about stroppyjock earlier. He came back for a day, and has disappeared again, hope he's OK.

Coco likes to make a mess when she's eating or drinking, I have bought her a tray which her dishes sit on, and the mess seems to confine itself to that. x

Sorry I have not had time to read the thread today. We travelled from our home to bring my friend K home. Horrible journey rain road works and raod alterations, we finally arrived just after 4pm, had a cup of tea and then went on to DD1's for supper. As I drove m ost of the way I am shattered, going to have a shower and crawl into bed. Busy day tomorrow seeing family and friends. Will catch up when I can.
