Good Morning, off to get the sticky................................................
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for onday 27th September. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Hi everyone, can't believe the date - nearly the end of September
Very wet miserable day here. Will be in the office most of the day so won't affect me too much.
Had a good day yesterday, made up a load of swede and carrot mash for the freezer, also picked up some brussels from Aldi which have been blanched and frozen.
Today have some office work to get through then course 9.30 - 2.30. After that need to wrap DS' birthday presents for tomorrow.
Havn't managed to catch up on the thread so hope everyone is ok. ((((hugs)))) if you need one.
Off now to wake up the rest of the house - have a great day.x

Morning folks - Monday again! Disaster with w/m yesterday, put a quick load on before we headed off, unfortunately it wasn't finished and came back to utility room, kitchen and part of sitting room all flooded - we were away for near 3 hours and it just continually filled up! Managed to get everything mopped up, and hoping the flooring isnt too bad, seems to be ok this morning, left doors and windows open as much as possible, and dehumidifier has been on. Fortunately we were a wee bit more flush when we bought the machine last August and took out the extended warranty, so we wont have a repair bill this time thankfully, just need to phone them as soon as they open at 8. Will have a busy day at work, and this evening is going to be paperwork challenge as there is so much paperwork needing dealt with. Lunch is HM soup and yogurt, and tea will be sausage, bacon, eggs, etc as these have to be used up by tomorrow.
Hope you all have a good day, hugs to those in need,

Morning allChilli here this morning, and still dark when we got up. Managed to get nearly all the bedding dry yesterday, so that is all over the conservatory this morning for an airing.Need to finish off my crab apples today, I have been collecting juice all night, so will make that into crab apple jelly, and crab apple and chilli, I have one more bag to stew down, which will become crab apple and mint, i am sure it will taste great but its a really fiddly job.Dinner tonight will be more gammon with mash peas and pickle, will freeze the rest in portions.Need to do an online shop today, and tidy through, and hoover, washing needs to go away and another load done.Hope you all have good days, hugs to all xx0

Morning all
Wet, and cold here. Weather today doesn't look much better than yesterday, it was awful all day, rained almost continually with raging winds and it was cold - the sort of Winter day where you just want to stay at home all day! Boys had Rugby practice - even in those conditions and they all trained in the rain, nice to see some dedication - they all seem so committed and enjoy the training as well as the games. Whilst they trained I did have a quick walk to A**i - haven't been in there for a while, they really had some bargains - will do a shop there next week.
Back to work today, tonight's dinner is going to be gammon, egg, mash and veg, so that's organised, have a menu plan for this week, and all food needed I have - so that's a good start. Weekend been a bit of a wash out - things not gone to plan so finished up with takeaways Sat and Sun - not a good start but just needed to get everyone fed with little/no time. We so rarely do this - and it was nice for a change.
Not much else to say really, keep safe and well everyone, hugs to those that need them.

Good Morning.
Its a bit overcast here this morning, and the boys are off school today and tomorrow, bo hopefully the rain will stay away so I can throw them outside.
I finally got my light yesterday. I was over the moon, in case you don't know, or remember it was one in the sale which was originally 80 or 90 pounds, and reduced to 25, but when I went to collect it they had none left, so they sold me the ex display model, which cost me....£12.50!!!! Mark hates it and says its like something Barbara Windsor would have, but I don't care. Its to go above my table at the diner end of the kitchen. This is it and he'll put it up tonight for me.
Not much Os going on here at the moment, I am just too emotionally exhausted to motivate myself. Washing clothes and making meals is the limit just now.
I hope you are all well, glad to hear it wasn't anything too serious Csarina, but you sound like you need to relax, I've been thinking before this happened you were beginning to sound more and more stressed, and you need to try and relax some more if you can. I know, I am a fine one to talk
Glad the date went well Flutteryby. Sometimes the best ones are the slow burners, and I thought Souk's advice was spot on.
Take care all of you, and thanks again for being such good support.
