Morning All
Just having a break from cleaning up the newly decorated room before I put the furniture back. Have spent an hour scrubbing the floor so far and it's not half done yet. Had my breakfast to coincide with Homes Under the Hammer, as it is a holiday here I'm off work so it is a rare treat for me. I do enjoy seeing what people do with the houses they buy and get some ideas for furnishings, etc. BTW JackieG I love your light fitting!
Have a good Monday everyone, back to the cleaning for me!! Take care XX0 -
Hey all! Getting even colder- the temp in my room has dropped to 15 from 16 yesterday and I'm feeling it

I just had my job interview that went really well, I'm hopeful! It looks really good and the pay is good, with double time on sundays and triple time on bank holidays! I got in, piled on the pj's and had a slice of the bread I made yesterday with some pate- delicious! Quite fancy scrambled eggs and toast in front of the tv while the rest of the flat are out

Good luck with the job.

So pleased you got the light you wanted :j( a little bit envious as we need to find about 8 nice lights as vendors took nearly all the lights and made to measure blinds even though they were included in fixtures etc) Could have been worse as locksmith was delayed this morning because locks in his earlier appointment elsewhere had all been superglued shut!
DH has just answered door to man who is replacing lock to patio door (lets just say DD is in doghouse at moment;)) If I can see any good offers at Aldi or Lidl then he might drive us there later to stock up a bit. Blinds get fitted tomorrow so things are starting to take shape.
Have pea soup from yesterday for lunch and no idea what to make for tea, maybe home made pizza or spag bol using turkey mince, carrots, can tomatoes, onions, lentils, handful oats to make it creamy and some mushrooms.
Might get Dds to compile a list of meals everyone (or most of us) actually like as I am running out of ideas and can't keep just cooking
lasagne, spag bol, pizza, quiche and curry. One hates rice, one hates pasta, another hates potatoes and they take it in turns to turn their noses up at everything!!!!
They all love my chicken pancakes but I save that for special occasions as it takes ages just to make all the pancakes, then the filling and home made cheese sauce.
Hug to all and see you later"This site is addictive!"

I've finally finished making crab apple jelly!!
Lunch today-which I'm just enjoying, is left over mash with onions and cheese made into potato cakes. Tea will be LO pork casserole with added curry paste, with some rice and a garlic flatbread out of the freezer instead of naan. Kitchen had become a bit of a dumping ground so I'm finally getting that sorted today. Will defrost the freezer in there tomorrow and then give the floor a good scrub.
I don't think my treatment has worked as I've started with slight spotting today so I'm a bit miserable.
Hugs to those in need,

Hi Chums just waiting for the therapist to come ,bless him he said he would come to me today as I am always trekking to his house .four more days with luck and I'll have my new arm sleeve and glove for my right arm and bandaging will be a thing of the past (i hope). He has been brilliant though and I aprreciate everything he has done for me was to make me better and have more mobility .
I have a small wash on at the moment just towels ect as tomorrow is forecast wet and its a nice blowy day here in North Kent.I may have a walk to the library this afternoon for a breath of fresh air and a turn around the park whilst its still warm enough to.I can't believe that another month has whizzed by.
Glad to hear that your Oh is a bit better Csarina and JackieG I like your light fitting and I think its very sparkly. My house is just to tiny to have anything like that but in my previous house I had a similar one which we had to leave behind when we moved for lack of space.
Tonight I'm back at Uni for the begining of the Third year.We are studying 'The Thames from the Sea to the Source' over 1000 years.so that should keep me busy and the little grey cells clicking along for awhile
Hope everyone has a good monday and and even better week
take care all

Afternoon everyone.
Just having a coffee and a couple of cappuccino brownies - need it after the morning I've had. Got lots of errands etc this week so didn't need the horrendous start to the day that I had - DD had snaffled my car keys and I couldn't find them anywhere  Mum then had to take me on a run around to cake shop, soft play and up the bank. Thankfully keys have now been found but I definately need to find a better way to deal with stress - feeling a bit pressured this week.......
Anyway no idea what's for tea - haven't had chance to look
Not much OS going on today or probably at all this week
JackieG - Love your light and what a bargain :T Just keep taking each day as it comes xx
csarina - Hope things are OK xx
adelight - Crossing fingers for your job interview. have they said when you'll find out?
falady - hope your first day on your own is going well xx
suzybloo - Oh dear hope your flooring dries out OK.
Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good afternoon OS or not.

It's very gloomy here too. I've just had to shove the cats out into the garden - they weren't keen. They just wanted to look out through the door instead.
I've cleaned and hoovered through today. It's so much easier now that a lot of the clutter has gone. I still need to work on some of the junk :rotfl:but it's improving.
I'm going to make a pizza for dinner and one for the freezer in a minute. I prefer my own - I can't work up any enthusiasm for the ready made ones any more.
Take care all of you.0 -
Its cold, dark and grey so cannot get motivated!
Have hoovered downstairs and cleaned the bathroom, the list on the fridge is getting longer but I just cant find time to do anything!
So hope it doesnt rain for the school run
Take care everyone xxMum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
