Would this message get you a little narked?

Nothing major but i had to message a seller for a INR they asked me to wait until the end of the week. So i did, nothing arrived sent them a polite message to say 'sorry but it's still not turned up, thanks'
They refund in full the same day-end of story i think. Not bothered to leave fb just as i don't very often to be honest. Then i get this message more than a week later

i am very sorry it has not arrived i have refunded you in full, please understadn it was not my fault it has not arrived as i cannot control the postal services can i? with that in mind please do not leave negative or neutral feedback as i have done nothing wrong

Now am i being picky or does this not sound a little shirty? I've done nothing but be polite waited 2 weeks for said item and then another few days for the refund. Something i needed quickly too! And wouldn't have dreamt of leaving anything but pos fb if anything at all even though i was annoyed.

Begining to wonder if they let down a few people lately with supposed missing parcels?

No, don't think it sounds shirty, just some poor seller who has done their best and is worried about you leaving bad feedback.

You received your refund a week ago and I think it is poor that you haven't left positive feedback. The seller has lost the item and all costs and you can't be bothered to rate them. They refunded the same day you said you hadn't received, I think you should leave glowing feedback and 5 stars
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
  • It's difficult to tell really - I didn't read it as shirty, but after reading your comment and re-reading it, I do see what you mean.

Overall, I think it's worth giving them the benefit of the doubt - I don't think they were 'intentionally' provoking you with a shirty message.

I don't think it sounds shirty, more like they are worried and want to put an end to the matter.

I wouldn't really leave any feedback.

I would also interpret the "can i" tag as more than a little bit petulant. The reason I wouldn't leave feedback is that the experience wasn't positive but it wasn't worth either neutral or a neg. And refunding me is all she can expect to do in the circumstances, it's not something I have to feel grateful in some way for.

She may have lost the item but she can still claim through RM.

I don't leave fb for anyone full stop! And nor do i appreciate being nagged for it. I don't blame them at all but i do blame them for going out of their way to tell me not to leave a neg or neutral fb. I'll leave what i like when i like and don't appreciate their tone.
They didn't refund straight away either if you read the post i had already asked them where it was after 2 weeks they then made me wait another 4 days and that was only after i emailed them again!

The 'can i?' part of their message annoyed me most sounded like i'd been having a moan at them or something. My messages have been short and to the point mentioned nothing other than 'my item hasn't turned up yet' and they felt the need to send that out. This is a biz seller with 5000+ fb have they nothing better to do all for a £5.99 item.

This message was sent a whole week after i got my refund so i don' understand what they are replying to as i've sent nothing to them since getting my refund.

No it wouldn't nark me, they sound nervous more than anything else. I'd probably reply and say I wasn't going to leave any feedback as it wouldn't be fair.

There's no reason to get narked. If you don't want to leave feedback then don't..move on and shut up about it.

You are obviously not a seller then. All we can do is send items and hope they arrive. If they don't (through no fault of ours) then the buyer has the power to ruin our selling accounts. We don't hold any cards any more (thanks to ebay) and all we can do is our best. Obviously that is not good enough for you, and I just hope you never buy anything off me.

And yes, I am a business seller with 5000+ feedback

  • wonder if the recent negs and neutrals on their fb has anything to do with what seems to me their deperation to avoid anymore.

lol guess what me too! and a TRS if we're going for bragging here. Just hope you don't send messages like that out to your buyers. If my items go missing i refund after 12-14days and apologise a number of times. It's called sucking up if you don't want a neg. I've not had one apology from this seller. Perhaps your my seller then!
