Valli - I was 14 when my DM started seeing someone. She had been widowed for 8 years then. I gave her a really hard time! I still cringe now at some of the things I said to her!
Looking back now, (I am in my 40s) I can see that I was scared. Scared of change. We had a nice little life the 3 of us (younger DB) and I really didnt want anything to change. I was also quite self centred, (not selfish - I believe there is a difference) and all I could think about at that time was myself and my needs. I quite liked the bloke she was seeing - after all he was my BFs father! I just knew he was a bit of a disciplinarian, and I was having none of that!

Well I've been blipping around sorting out washing, helping with homework, listening to violin practice (sorry but )
Did an hour of accounts as well, only to find out the online VAT calcuator I was using had the VAT set to the old rate of 15% Meh. So bit the bullet and actually got round to programming my excel spreadsheet to calculate it all automatically. Whew.
Brain needed wine, so stopped. Will be found shortly fluttering around on sofa decluttering a couple of glasses :D

Oooo I will be in lots of need of support next week. This bungalow is a total mess, i haven't been doing anything other than daily washing up and the laundry so am very behind here. Two weeks not flying and god i can tell the difference.
Anyway I will be relaxing tonight and maybe doing some study and then I can start tomorrow on the list and be more organised. I hope. Lol.

I have managed to declutter half a cupboard today and chuck a few things with OH that should have gone ages ago. I have almost decluttered every room apart from the spare room AKA the room of doom. I will concentrate on that when I have managed to make everywhere else blissful. I have quite a busy week ahead but am going to try cleaning the rooms on the right day and then doing any decluttering missions on Sunday.

Right what have I done today. One lot of washing done, dried and folded-yet to put away.
Cleaned sink and surround. Finally cleared dying tomato plants from the kitchen window sill and given it a good clean-its sparkling now!! Also cleared DD's sock drawer, 2 drawers in the dresser which have her stuff in-pens, paints, craft things-gosh they were a mess-thrown a lot out and sorted the rest into appropriate containers in the drawers. Have collected all the felt tips in the house and given her a big tin to put them in. Also done a drawer in the hall of hers-decluttered lots of old pictures of hers and found things she'd forgotten about. Quite pleased with what I've achieved-had hoped to do more but a friend came round with a relationship crisis so I did things whilst she was here but had to concentrate on her.
Tonight I'm hoping to get the ironing finished whilst I watch Downton Abbey, might also get some more of my sewing done-I have new work uniforms that I must've had for 5 months but haven't worn yet as they need hemming so they are a job that NEEDS doing this week.
Looking forward to being a proper learner flylady tomorrow!!!

Eeek! I can't believe it! Asked DS1 (17yo) if it would be ok if I cleaned up his room for him. "Yes that would be cool, I'll sort out some stuff first..." was the reply. THAT's never happened before! To be fair, he's grown up a lot in the past few months after going off on a residential course by himself, but still. An achievement! :D
