    Afternoon all

Been awol this last couple of days so just skimmed very quickly to catch up.

Hugs, ohhs, aaahs, congrats, commiserations as appropriate.

And welcome home toots :) hoping the new cleaner can get to grips with some of those things on your list.

I have no idea where this week is disappearing to, Thurs/Fri will fly as well I suspect as it is quarter end so stress levels will be through the roof for some people I am guessing. I had a mini meltdown/rant last Friday! The boss was away but rang me yesterday to see if I was ok, which I was and am after my rant.

Better get some serious dot2sotting done round here.

Msgnomey - only just seen your post about your op being next week. Hope your pre-op goes well today. Big hugs. Mine was sudden too and I think it gave me less time to worry about it xx
Juliejim - hope today is better for you. Hugs for DS xx

Just been to the hospital for DS's eye problem. Pretty good result with a change in eye drops and no further dates for surgery. I think it's been three years now and they reckon he might only need one more op which won't happen until the plugs blocking his drainage ducts come out which might never happen. Here's hoping!

I've been busy s/s ing but I really need to be a bit more ordered rather than flitting from one room to the next. I'm definitely in a flitting mood! Going to take DS back to school at 1pm (after lunch) and then try and get today's list done.

    Hugs to all xx

    Hi all

I think you probably all already know (certainly some of you do) but my gorgeous son Leo John Richard was born last Thursday, 23 Sept at 7.55pm. He came out via the sunroof under general anaesthetic in the end after waters broke almost exactly 24 hours earlier. Was slightly traumatic time but neither of us was ever in any danger...just that in the end my pelvis was too small and flat to let him out like my mums!!

The main thing is he's here and he's well, after 36 hours in SCBU (he had a 'dusky episode' thurs eve on me when he went really floppy and had to be rushed off and given oxygen. they think he'd got too cold from the operating theatre as we were in recovery for an hour, and I was a bit out of it and they weren't really keeping enough of an eye on me). It was the worst few hours of my life when they had taken him away but he's fine now. We decided Leo was very approproate for a little fighter!

Pics are here. He's put on 1oz so far which is great at 5 days!

Thanks so much to juliejim for the package for Leo, you'll get a proper thanks in due course!

DH is being a star and being a flylady, currently cleaning the kitchen. I am just resting as much as poss and concentrating on feeding! DH is also doing 90% of nappies :) and is madly in love with his son!

Mumto5 I'd love to do the moonwalk, how exciting! Happy for your Ds too, with a C in maths he can do most things, it's what employers look for.

Just having some lunch and I'll go upstairs after feeding bub at 1. My room needs to be spotless as that's where OH's Mum and Dad will be sleeping, we're relegated to an air bed on the lounge floor! So. going to leave some ebay feedback and start again.

Rach he is yummy! Congratulations again! And you have impeccable taste, Leo was the name I wanted for my DS2, and we have the same glasses! Also second what pigpen said, enjoy the rest while you can!
    So, there are these boys,
    They kinda stole my heart,
    They call me Mummy

    WW 37lb (2 STONE 9lbs! :j ) lost since July, 11tybillion to go...
  • Welome back, rach, and many congratulations!!! Definitely no flying duties for a while...! Enjoy this moment xxxx

I'm back from the dentist, and before going managed to do a bit of cooking and a bit of cleaning. Will eat some lunch, then get down to another session of cooking/cleaning.

    Back later

Freja's 'too small' stuff is now boxed up and sorted.. I have half a binbag to go to charity shop :D er bedding is all put away nice and tidy and i have found som space on my bedroom floor and filled half a binbag with rubbish. I can now walk around my side of the bed to the door without stubbing my toes or walking sideways!

Presents hidden away in their boxes.

NOW I may go find food...
