Have been MIA for the first part of this week, and need to do something on the house today!!!

In my defence, I've been busy on my work all day Monday, and spent most of yesterday trying to sort the garden out, so not idle.... The BT engineer never showed up on Monday , so it took 2 more hours on the phone to India to persuade them to send out another engineer on Friday morning...:mad::mad:

I also did a few of my 'demon jobs', so I hope that makes things a little better... Haven't had time to read back to see how Dusty has got on, but I'm feeling a little better that I've done a few of them!

Today I'm still stuck on the kitchen - need to make the meat sauce for a stuffed marrow before going to the dentist at 10:30am, but I'll try to do a few jobs as I go. OK. Let's look at the list:

Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining area
    Level One
    Sweep and mop the floor
    Clear and wipe worksurfaces
    Shine the sink!
    Level Two
Wipe fronts of appliances and units
    Descale iron/kettle/etc
Wipe table and replace cloth if needed
    Level Three
Clear and wipe tops of microwave/fridge/freezer
[STRIKE]Check through the jars and cans and see what has been there forever and can be flung or needs to be used this week!![/STRIKE] Did this yesterday - Sainsbury's on-line order chivvied me
[STRIKE]Sort baking ingredients.. what needs binning what needs restocking and what can you use up this week?[/STRIKE] Ditto, and have planned to bake an apple cake on Thursday

    Extras
    1. Empty and wash out bins
    2. Sort through mugs and crockery.. fling the cracked and chipped bacteria breeding grounds!
    3. wash windows
    4. Thoroughly clean out 1 cupboard
    Albatross List:
    * Piano tuner - arrange (he talks for ages and ages :o)
    * Check Websaver gas rates are still OK for us
    * School Gift Wrap order - means going through the wrapping paper drawer...
    * Autoglass chip-mending for car windscreen?
[STRIKE]* Write difficult letter to D.L. and post it :o[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]Savings with DH - ours[/STRIKE]; DD's (means dealing with the Halifax )
    * Do my income tax form on-line
    * Orchestra form to take next week (before they throw DD out!:o)

Hugs to all who need them

  • quick few questions about cleaning if you ladies dont mind.

what does everyone find best to clean doors with? ive just been using an antibac cleaning wipe will that do?

also my front door has a little porch thing over it that gets covered in cobwebs and just dirt, how would you recommend cleaning that, im tempted to take the hoover to it, but im not sure that would be the best way to do it?

    thanks
