Ebay asking me to register as buisness seller

Looking up on eBay, individual Blake's 7 VHS still go for 2.76 each and there's a full set listed for £25. They don't seem to be selling at the moment (searching completed listings), but you never know; sci-fi fans are telly addicts and can pay premiums for videos. It helps if it's the full set as the set on sale at the moment has two missing tapes.
Otherwise there may be collectors local to you who would pay a bit more."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Is there a sales trigger for the business seller email?
This past month I have sold my laptop and old mobile phone and made about £500. Laptop was worth 600 when I bought it a couple of years ago
I had to refund the buyer of the mobile phone about £50 though because the screen was "scratched" when he got it....not too impressed as I look after my stuff and sent it in it's box very well wrapped (it was an HTC HD2 smartphone)

There has to be, otherwise everyone would get one. I imagine there are several requirements that prompt it, the problem being that none of us are yet sure what those requirements are.dangerousuk2 wrote: »Is there a sales trigger for the business seller email?
There are probably a number of factors:
listing volumes
selling volumes
selling value
listings per category
Presumably all measured over a defined period.
At the moment, I would also go easy on the number fo 99p free listings, by spreading them out over time and not listing any when there has been a recent free listing day/weekend. [Afterall, the market will be flooded anyway]."The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

cheers for the advice guys
^ I tried spreading the 99p listings out over the month just to make things easier on me. instead of having 100 things end on the 10th of the month for example. didnt seem to make a differance.0 -

Unfortunately whilst some of the prices might look good for B7 vids, the postage knocks out any profit whatsoever. All the fan sites are full of people desperately trying to get rid of them as the full set is now out on DVD, I couldn't even give mine away. There's only been 3 sold in the past month and all fo rless than £1.
Also have you noticed someone selling just the paper inserts, no video:

I suspect that they may have problems if the buyer hasn't fully read the auction!

Jacqueline Pearce is really great in real life, she's really lived, she's all husky and dark eyes. My son when he was about 14 was really taken with her and she was happy to chat to him and spend time talking to him and treated him like an adult.
I was always an Avon fan and Paul Darrow still has a huge female fan following, but Gareth Thomas is the best convention guest ever, he has so much time for his fans and will stay up half the night chatting.
It was actually sci fi that got me started on auctions, even before ebay. I used to buy and sell on Freeserve auctions , sell duplicate bits to buy more for my personal collection but when they closed they referred everyone across to ebay.com and eventually we got the dedicated ebay.uk.
It is sad though that my current collection that cost me a fair bit is now all but valueless.
However, and I'll send myself a nag pm in a minute for going off topic (naughty Soolin) the biggest fan Blake's 7 convention is on again next February, if anyone wants details PM me.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Good point. Thanks for correcting me, Soo. I haven't seen the series, I just thought it was a nickname you used offline.
Bit like me calling myself Kira Nerys
(which is who I think I most resemble - not physically, just emotionally. I look a bit more like Jadzia Dax...).
Seen one episode of B7 and didn't get into it, but will try it again some day (from what I saw I guess they took a lot of inspiration from the USSR for the culture which they were rebelling against). I wasn't much into sci-fi stuff at that time and have since become a big Trekkie."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Does anyone know if the 100 items a month is on a 'rolling month' or per 'calendar month'?0
