after 3 unsuccessful attempts to unlock a phones network block it screws it up a bit, by the time you've paid £10/20 to have it fixed you may aswell be spending the money on the £19.99 3510i deals personally

As a complete novice , is it as easy to unlock the 2510i for Fresh as for O2? Also has anyone got a better suggestion for someone who mainly uses his phone for incoming calls, and whose spend is around £10-15 pa, all at peak rate?

  • Thanks for your replies on this.

Have taken your advice and decided to buy another PAYG phone as mine was quite old anyway (I don't think I'll be trying any further unlocking either!).

    Many thanks

Grab one of the siemens A60 phones from virgin (in the bargains section of this site) it costs just £27 and you get £25 worth of free credit and the better news is that it is the cheapest pay as you go tarriff currently available (not including the rather hopeless '3' network as you have to top up monthly)

PS: dont bin your old mobile as there are lots of places you can donate them to help charities.
