Stuart, you've been corrected (politely by some, less politely by others) as to your usage of the word "too". Is it sheer stubbornness to prove the point that you're correct, are you really that stupid, or are you simply making the point that you don't care?

I'm afraid you've missed the point regarding homophones (those are words that sound identical, or similar enough to be confused). A spellchecker can't pick up on these. You say it's a tool to be used but as with any tool, it needs to be used correctly. Try copying and pasting your posts into the likes of Microsoft Word and watch the green (or blue?) highlighting appear for grammar errors. Right click on the highlighted word and see what Word suggests in its place.

Then maybe edit your above posts and put the situation to rest!

I'm afraid I have no knowledge of grants for training purposes but as I think was pointed out earlier, the shorter courses for literacy and numeracy are available - that's observation on my part, not a recommendation for you!

PS - nobody else has pointed it out but it's GALL (as in of bile), not Gaul. Gaul was the ancient region of France, or a person from said place.

OR -this is simply a troll. Either way a good giggle for the pair of us here, shame Stuart's errors are being pointed out to him in many ways; more competition for the rest of us!

My spelling has been fine in all jobs..so im not about too let a bunch of Holier than thou worry me...and yes im well aware of Gaul/Gall...again its a typo,if people like too be anal enough too get a hard on and toss off over a spelling mistake which sometimes noticed but not corrected through laziness or on occasions missed then let them.

Seems too me these are the people who take great pleasure in thinking that their better than everyone else...hmmm yes of course you are...its my opinion the males have under developed manhood"s so feel inferior hence the pedantic views...or maybe there just underachievers in real life.:T

I must say they have given me something too smile about.:rotfl:

Look who's not reading things now... :rotfl:

Obviously Stuart has far too much time on their hands that they have the time to wind members of a public forum up... What's your YouTube name - I bet you're a corker there!

Use your free time instead to read up on Freud. Your ranting post will tick so many boxes... :D

I vote troll. Anyways, this is no longer funny to me. Sad, yes. Funny, less so. Laters!

Edit: from a very recent post (as pointed out to me by someone else:

"The trouble with the dole is you get far too much free time too chill out and relax....:D"

I think Stuart has proved my point! LOL

  • Ah went too waitrose instead.:p

Commenting on my poor spelling/grammar is fine...however making bold statements as oldernotwiser has is a totally different matter.

Make light of it...but we will see who laughs when he comes back.;)
  • Hi stuart30, have you tried signing up with an agency? Sometimes they are able to help with funding for courses, or with updating your existing skills. Have a look at the government website as well, i'm sure they have return to work programmes which include retraining. Good luck with your search, and please keep us updated on your progress.

Thanks Plumstar...i hadn't really thought about agencies, well worth popping into a few and asking if they can help or can the recommend anything.

Ive been on the https://forums.careers-advice.org/?defaultstyle and must say the chap i spoke too was incredibly helpfull, must have spent a good 1.5hrs chatting and trying too find courses/funding that was suitable.

If needs be i"ll have too sell some bits and pieces and fund it myself...not my first choice but if needs must.

    Many thanks Plumstar...certainly a different direction that's worth exploring.
