Training whilst unemployed.

With the government cut backs funding for training has been cut back, so all i could say is just keep trying. I have been told that if you got a job offer that requires lets say a FLT certificate then they would fund that, but only if you had the offer of the job.
Unfortunately it seems too vary with the area you reside in...i know in my area there's nothing on offer.
Yet 20 miles down the road the jobcentre has various schemes...only there not available unless its your local office.
Never mind...just looks like its a life of feet up and letting the oh so helpful people on here paying for everything i need.;):money::beer::T0 -

Judging by the OP's posts, with their inability to work out it should be "to" and not "too" and being reliant on a spellchecker, I reckon basic literacy would be of immense benefit.0 -
Ummm privately rented..with who exactly.?
Obviously you know the restrictions on bankrupts...you"ll know that as were living on benefits we have no money.
You"ll also know that we cannot be lent the necessary funds due too the bankruptcy.
So with all of your knowledge of bankruptcy and our situation can you please give me a list of agents who will rent us a property.:T
What a !!!! you are...:rotfl:
Many bankrupts are able to rent privately, although not normally though agents. Many councils also offer bond schemes for the deposit which doesn't involve lending you money.0 -
All ready tried the private landlords with the council bond....unsurprisingly they ain't keen.0

Stuart; ranting is great - everyone loves a good rant. But when you are ranting at someone picking up on your spelling and you continue to spell the same word wrong in the rant - it really undermines the rant.
Rant away at us for picking up on your spelling; but if you are applying for jobs it really will undermine your application. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -

The thing is Stuart, you may think it is being petty and nitpicking but I and people like me are those who are doing the hiring. Being self employed and being part of a local business networking club, I know several people who have their own businesses and they all share a common theme with applications, basically:
If you send in a typed one when it says written applications, it goes straight in the bin. If you can't follow such a simple instruction, how are you going to be as an employee?
If you can't spell basic simple words the application goes straight in the bin. After all, it reflects badly on the company if you send out an email or letter and can't work out whether it should be "to" or "too". There are many other homophones which a spell checker wouldn't pick up on such as "flour" and "flower". You cannot rely on a spellchecker.
And in the current situation, every job is going to have dozens of applicants who are all as equally suitable for the role so we can afford to be picky.
So yes, if you're incapable of working out whether something should be "to" or "too", you need to use a spellchecker to get forum posts right and are incapable of seeing that a spellchecker has made a mistake, you need a basic literacy course to improve your chances of finding a job.
Oh, and if any university students or recent graduates are thinking of throwing their two penneth in and saying that they didn't have to spell correctly in uni and the lecturers said it doesn't matter as long as what you put can be understood, welcome to the actual reality of job hunting. At least you now know why you're not getting interviews. Remember that those doing the hiring are usually my generation or older and to us, a decent standard of literacy as well as attending interviews dressed in a suit (or as near as, i.e shirt & tie, trousers and shoes for the blokes) is a MINIMUM expectation in an applicant.0 -
Oh there's always one !!!! taker isn't there....!
Maybe you would also like too have too declare bankruptcy and also loose your home just like i"am..about too.
Yeah im so glad i was made redundant from a 25.5k job too live a life on the sick...oh makes me feel all warm and fluffy.
Mind you im really excited about having too live in a hostel when were repossessed as there's no housing available...still im sure my 3 yr old twins will relish it and love playing with the needles and fag butts in the social area....hmmm oh im so lucky.
Good god...actually i now feel ashamed for asking for help too get back into work...scum i am...i"ll go lash my self.
Id suggest you do one....
i didnt mean anything bad by what i said in fact it wasnt even aimed at you, i was merely saying to do a free course you have to be unemloyed at least or maybe low income, i wont do 1 yet but i will say good luck with what you decide to do,0 -

Added to that the bad attitude when people try to help....isn't going to exactly win friends and influence people.....If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0
