They replied to my last email saying new stock in Friday and I should email again on Saturday to get them to resend it.
Surely the customer shouldn't have to email again once the item is reported missing!0 -
I've not received this latest email where they state the orders went missing, but at least we can all expect to receive our missing orders now by next week, and i still only paid 99p for mine! or make that 99p plus a load of hassle and waiting

Email just received:Hi,
Thank you for confirming your request.
I can only assume then, that it has been lost in the postal system - and I
entirely understand the disappointment this inevitably causes.
I will ensure that a replacement order is sent out to you by this weekend.
In the event that both dispatched orders arrive, we would be grateful if you
could return one to us at the following address:
PRIME Outsourcing
(CD WOW!)
Mykinon 1

Larnaca
CYPRUS
Please remember to include a note stating your name, your order number,
e-mail address and reason for return.
Thank you for shopping with us. We very much appreciate it, and I sincerely
hope that this genuinely rare occurrence will not deter you from using our
service again in the future.

CD WOW! Customer Services
So, let's have a recap:
- Original dvds coming from Hong Kong.
- Returns go to Cyprus.
- Freephone number for customer services in the UK.
This company makes real sense! :rotfl:I'm NOT political so DON'T correct me!0 -
Think CD-Wow have sourced from the Far East for a long, long time. The Cyprus return addess is more recent. At least there's a freephone number.
Must make business sense to do things this way, and I'm relieved that they seem to be intending to fulfil the missing orders albeit at their own methodical pace.
My faith is somewhat restored, but not as much as it will be when the huge hairy fella arrives at my letterbox.
And he delivers my King Kong dvd.0 -
My order has been lost in delivery and I have received all the messages posted here but today I received another email from cdwow saying....Dear xxxx,
Regarding your CD WOW! Order No. xxxxxxxxx
Just to let you know that:
King Kong (2005): Special Edition (2 Disc Set) - DVD Video has been dispatched.
Please allow up to 7 days for this item to arrive.
If after this time the above item has not arrived, please do let us know.
This completes your order.
Warmest regards,
CD WOW! Customer Service
So it seems the new stock has arrived.0 -
I too have been having the same "fun" with cd-wow over my missing King Kong DVD.
I will not cover ground already posted but thought it might be worth mentioning that I have mailed cd-wow specifically asking for a good will gesture in view of the inconvenience caused.
I have now been assured my mega cheap DVD is now on it's way again (same mail as atlanticflyer received today) in addition to receiving a £2.00 voucher for my trouble - not bad since I only spent £2.99 on DVD in first place.
I urge you all to give it a try because if you don’t ask you don’t get!
Can any of you guys get more than £2 voucher?
Cheers

I had to email them with my contact details again even though they had my order number, don't they have computers?
They claim to have sent a replacement out, we shall wait and see.0 -
Just got an email to say it has been re-ordered for me under another order number, doesnt say it has been dispatched tho......
Comes with a repeat request to return the missing one if it turns up, so it seems they can be forgiven, well maybe...

Just received my copy - I don't know if it the original, or the replacement copy ! It appears to have come from Hongkong - were they ALL coming from there ?
I cannot see any dates anywhere on the packaging - sorry, correct that, there is a code number on the front white label which includes the following:-
xxx/x 2006102104:dVDV xxxxx - could this mean 21st Oct 2006 ?! - or am I reading too much into it
I notice it says the 'intrinsic value' is £1.49 - but it looks ok/kosher to me
It is a Christmas stocking filler, so I hope it plays ok on Christmas morning0 -
i have watched my 99p copy of the movie twice now in the 2 weeks i have had it
hope you all get yours.0
