The plot thickens, after twice contacting cdwow about my order I placed on the 2nd and despatched on the 4th or so they claimed, this is what they now say. I did ask in my last mail that I didnt want my money back and that many other people had lost there DVD.
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us although we are sorry to hear that your King Kong DVD has not arrived.
After further investigation, we have discovered that one particular batch of King Kong orders dispatched that day has gone missing in transit (between airports) and whilst this is beyond our control, we are obviously very sorry for the inconvenience and aggravation caused.
This has only affected a small percentage of customers who ordered this particular title and we can appreciate the disappointment caused.
Therefore we do ask you for your understanding in this matter and if you would kindly confirm whether you would like the item resent (we have managed to secure more stock which will be delivered into our warehouse by the end of this week) or a refund, once we hear back from you we will action your request.
In the event that the missing item turns up, please do let us know so that we can arrange for you to return it.
Thank you for your understanding and co-operation in this matter.
Kind Regards
Nicole

"After further investigation, we have discovered that one particular batch of King Kong orders dispatched that day has gone missing in transit"
I don't know, this just doesn't sound genuine to me. I suppose it's possible, but it seems more likely that they simply ran out of stock but have decided to honour the price if you make a fuss and say you still want it. Would it take a week for it to come to light that so many had gone missing? Once they found out a whole batch had gone missing why didn't they email people instead of all that wait-a-few more days, what's your address stuff?0 -
I got an email from CD-WOW yesterday but deleted it by mistake without reading it. Presumably it was the one saying they'd lost a load of DVDs so I'll have to contact them again. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

Just contacted cdwow on that freephone number.
Wasn't Michelle.
They say that a new King Kong batch is coming in on Friday and that I need to contact them again on Monday so that I can be issued a new order number and a replacement sent. Why she couldn't do it there and then is beyond me!
Are we finally getting somewhere?I'm NOT political so DON'T correct me!0 -

I know it does sound odd, but it might have some truth in it - I ordered mine on the 10th, when the price had gone up to £3.99 (albeit I paid £1.99 with a £2 voucher:T ) and it turned up today...having seen so many posts with problems I had given up hope of receiving it without a battle!0
