We stayed at the Holiday Inn at Fisherman's Wharf,http://www.hifishermanswharf.com/ , great location, clean and comfortable.

friends of ours stayed at the sheraton nearby http://www.sheratonatthewharf.com/ , they liked it there

    Check out Priceline.

FW is tacky and touristy-don't bother ;)

But the OP asked for the FW area...

OP, I'd check out tripadvisor, it's never let us down yet.

when we want something that's good value for money over the pond we usually check out the Hampton Inn in the area, it's the economy end of the Hilton chain but we've always found them to be spotless, nice, well equipped and best of all reasonably priced, I don't know if there's one near Fisherman's Wharf or not.Yes, FW is a bit touristy, but you're not going there for business, are you? The Sea Lions there stink too. :)

No, but you're going to see San Fransisco and not some tacky junk made in China...

The Sea Lions there stink too. :)

The sea lions left in January 2010

Good advice from someone who's probably never been...

I know you said Fishermans Wharf but we stayed in The Chancellor Hotel in Union Square and it was lovely, very clean, the staff were very helpful and there was a constant supply of fresh coffee and cookies in the lobby!

    Highly recommended - check Tripadvisor.

  • If you want the fishermans wharf area then the holiday inn is ok for the money,I has a problem with room at first but they soon changed it for me.we were initially put on ground floor right by the delivery area the sound of barrels coming off a wagon at 4.00am is not pleasant.
  • Another vote for the Chancellor in Union Square. It was a great hotel and the free tea/coffee and cookies was great.

I Thirdly recommend the Chancellor Hotel. Well I've never stayed there but a friend of mine is the Front Desk Manager:p
  • We stayed at 'Holiday Inn Express' at Fishermans Wharf which was fab with breakfast included in the room rate which set you up for the day.

Across the road was the 'Holiday Inn' and we were ok to use the outdoor pool at the Holiday Inn for no extra charge.
