:rotfl: I think we can all relate to that hun

Yes, it definitely took me a good long while to catch on! That's one of the reasons I like the MrT online because I can add all the bits I fancy then ruthlessy take the non-essentials off when I see the bill at the bottom  i got stung last month with the special offer from Sainsbugs on the Homepride sauces, the delivery man said that shop owners had been going in and filling three and four trolley loads of the stuff so by the time my order came they have replaced a good portion with jars that weren't on the order and the overview of the order was so complicated neither of us could work it out - the result was I got conned into paying the same amount of money but was at least a third down on quantity

Hi all, I am doing terrible with my budget:( but honestly dont think it's all my fault, budget has always been tight but each week I seem to be able to buy less and less with it:( thing is its got to work there is no more money to increase it! And on that note I need to use your great minds of knowledge I have had a phone call this morning from a friend that works on a farmers market and have been offered several chicken carcasses (the farmer finds jointed chickens sell better than whole) and a pigs head:eek: actually was offered 3 pigs heads but thought one would be daunting enough! All ideas welcomed:D

    Lurpak 2 for £3
    Penguins BOGOF
    Walkers crisps 18pks BOGOF
    Tiger loaf 800g 50p
    Desiree pots 97p
    Chantarelle carrots 40p
    Hope this helps someone!

went to the PO and Asda - put my weekly savings away, I've reached my target for my Christmas savings, have got two cards full (£300), the fares for next week are in the jar and the Sat takeway money is in the jar too! Sorted!

As to the when to/how many shops to do, that really is up to you. However, in my opinion (and it is only that ;)) the more you can stay away from shops the better as they are tempting places to visit! So, my top tip is always go armed with a list a stick to it. Second top tip always check your cupboards, fridge and freezer before you leave and if you're going to run out of something in the next day or so, put it on the list. We are all guilty of the going into the sm to buy milk and coming out £20 lighter. :(

    Take care,
    Spigs

Big HI to newbies - I second everything Spigs has said, but especially the bit above! It takes a bit of time to get into the habit but it saves £££££££!
Spigs - after being inspired by you, I bought a lump of brisket today for Sunday dinner, really looking forward to it! Will have it with mash, yorkies broccoli & carrots.
    PS - I adore cauli/cheese, I'm v jealous of you! :rotfl:

Helloooo again, you know when you are really O/S mse when your hubby walks in with a half bag of field carrots, 2 large turnips and a bag of tatties and you think awwww thats nice, even better than a bunch of flowers LOL! Definately save on the veg this month!

That made me laugh - who says romance is dead!:rotfl:

Well after my bulk shop last week and a little one today of baked potatoes and porridge oats i had a mooch about in the shops and found these bargains.

I'm planning on stocking up on them, but thought i'd post it here too.

    B & M

49p tin thinks it 450g coconut milk(full fat, low fat)
    1kilo of basmati rice 49p
49p whole wheat organic pasta 500g
    1l of olive oil 99p
red / thai green curry paste 29p a jar
4 tins princes chopped tomatoes £0.99p
    Home bargains
49p tin thinks it 450g coconut milk(full fat, low fat)
for the ladies out there 18pads (medium) for 49p
4 tins princes chopped tomatoes £1.29
500g of mornflake porridge oats 49p
100g fairtrade percol coffee £1.59,Colombian flavours and some others. (norm £2.50)
    Sainsburys
4pack of large baking potatoes 30p (i got the biggest one's there) so i got two of these.
1.5kg of strong bread flour still 60p

Oh and if you eat tuna, this may be useful to you. Sainsburys basic tuna 45p and part of the freedom food range. Lovely chunky and hardly any brine. While the tins of 4 for £3.50 out of there, the tuna was quite mushy and 70 brine. So i will be now buying only the basics brand once again.

Hope this is of use to you all.

    Hi Everyone

Want to DECLARE OCTOBER BUDGET AT £450 - took my eye off the ball somewhat! Have been buying extra bits for X**s and some gifts which are included in that amount so not all bad!
PLEASE PUT ME IN NOVEMBER FOR £375. We have been away and had friends over so that bumped the shopping up but do need to try harder.

Have a good weekend everyone, take care,
