I've had my deliveries for October and total spend so far £88.02. Thats including everything on my meal plan except fresh veg and fruit and occasional bread for DS (I don't eat bread) so I'm pretty hopeful for an on budget month :)

Eek £21.08 in Mr t - how did that happen?
Did get large pack of dried Apricots so think that may have tipped me over my £20 slightly. I am however going to put them into my tangine, cut them up into my cereal/porridge and also take some to work to snack on. Picked up the Value range fromage frais to try. Also got a chicken to roast tomorrow and to stretch out into the week!

    Good afternoon all :D

Had my first spend of the month yesterday (our month starts on the 25th) -so not too bad ...€23.00 . Apart from a bit more fruit mid week that should be us sorted for the week. The freezers are jam packed -mainly with meat, and the store shelves in the basement are groaning :rotfl:-I went down and sorted out the other day as I was planning on doing a re-stock ready for winter -but it looks like I have allready done it :j.
Hubby is away on exercise from tomorrow lunch time, not sure how long for but it could be the full 10 days -so that will be a lot less meals consumed,
Im still doing SW (5st2lb gone so far:j) but have found myself having more green days as its what I fancy right now!! I think its because of the cold weather .... I made cheese n onion "fryits" (Im not sure if you only get them in chippies in the midlands though as lots of people don't know what I mean :pthey look like big fishcakes ;)) -anyway I made my own SW version and they were gorgeous..and once cold they tasted just like filling in cheese n onion pasties -without the grease :T -with home made wedges n baked beans they were serious comfort food ;)
Tonight Im making spicy turkey burgers, will probably do salad and home made paprika wedges with them.
Right I had better get off and get next weeks meal plan done
    Have a lovely weekend everyone:D

    Hi folks

Sorry for late entry this month and haven't read any posts yet. Good luck to all and hugs to those who might need them.

My month started on Tuesday and up to now I haven't spent anything :j I'm off with my list this afternoon and expect it to be quite a sizeable chunk of my budget.

So please put me down for £300 again MrsM

I'll try and do better at keeping up this month :p

Would love the 'recipe' for these please Mrs M :)

I'm trying to cut down on the amount of red meat I eat, and luuuurve a cheese and onion pasty, pie or roll - but I'm calorie counting and they come 'expensive' against my allowance :(

(I've lost 1.5 stone since May, but have only been calorie counting for the last 5 weeks which has seen the last 9lb to my first target disappear. I'm now trying to 'hold steady' for 4 months before making the final push for another half stone - can't afford another set of clothes just yet rolleyes.gif)

  • Hi Everyone,
I was MIA last month, was reading but not posting, or keeping check of receipts but i didn't want to post as i have been feel oh so glum and eating what i fancy or not at all which i know is a very bad thing for the purse strings, the waist line and the health... so october - back to being good :)
Can i please be put down for £60, that will work out at £15/week
I have 2 freezers full of batch cooked meals, veggies, meat, fish, milk and bread so i am hoping that i can come in less that this. Cupboards jam packed with staples, and tinned foods, i prob could get by just buying fresh fruit but i'm not that optimistic, so instead
I have a little glass dessert dish in my kitchen, and in there goes the money left over at the end of each week, and at the end of october, i am going to have a little splurge on something i want (hopefully if there is enough in there)
My payday is 4 weekly, and getting paid on monday, but i'm hoping by setting a target for the whole month i will be in a better position when pay day and rent day are opposite ends of the month! (fingers crossed)
I am going to share a quick little meal plan for the forthcoming week in the hope it'll show me i don't NEED to buy anything else:
Sunday - Chicken wrapped in bacon, veggies and cous cous
Monday - Pasta with bacon, tomatoes and courgettes with GB
    Tuesday - Chilli and Rice
Wednesday - Salmon topped with philli, veggies and noodles
Thursday - Turkey and stuffing meatballs, mash, veggies and gravy (looking forward to this one!!)
    Friday - Veggie Risotto
Saturday - Steak, mushrooms, chips and onion rings (mmmmmmm)

And for the week all i need to buy is mushrooms for saturday (which i will hopefully buy next sat after a week of NSD's)
Wish me luck as i am already wanting to go offer hunting! how will i last a whole week?!?!
    SS x

Didn't mean to go out anywhere today, but ended up having to pop to the shop for milk, so that's another £1.05 on my total. Argh! One day I'll have a No Spend Day!

Still, spaghetti bolognese for tea tonight made with some pork mince I found RTC in Mr Ms a while ago and I'll make a huge batch so we can have bolognese toasties for tea tomorrow night. :) Hopefully won't have to go shopping anywhere either.

    Have a good day
