That's the right idea lotti, displacement activities! Keeping busy is great when you want to avoid drinking. Make sure you have plenty to do this evening and hope you avoided the booze aisles in MrT's! Good luck with the assignment.

    Good afternoon all

    9 for me please Shaggy!

Sparkles - sorry to hear about the tooth!

Had a couple of glasses monday night but stopped there. Not drinking tonight as have to pop out to a couple of places (driving). Hoping to stay AF for rest of week too.

Had call at work lunchtime to say Piglet had been sick. He's got a real chesty cough again which is making him cough till he's sick. So have had an unexpected afternoon off. Not that I've done much with it mind!:rotfl:

Haha - the way I was feeling this morning the booze aisles held no temptations! Bought some ginger beer and fizzy water for my elderflower cordial instead! (And quite a lot of hot cross buns... :D)

And driving tonight, so not a drop of the sauce shall pass my lips. Planned drinking tomorrow but I WILL stick to the plan of only drinking at the meal, and I won't get roped into the usual "let's buy bottle of port together" clever idea in the mess afterwards... if nothing else, too many dresses have been ruined that way!

Argh the assignment is deadly dull. MSE is much more fun...

  • Maman~the doctor gave me a prescription for penicillin. But she said to hold off for a couple of days just incase I didn't need them So I've struggled, cryed, not slept my way through 2 days and if anything I'm worse. I wish I'd bl**dy well taken them in the first place. I picked them up at lunch time today and have taken 2 doses so far. Another before bed. Fingers crossed I feel a bit better very soon. :)

My sons need red noses for Friday, so I'll need to drag myself to a supermarket tomorrow. Does everyone stock them? I'm sick fed up with drinking orange cordial or water. So will buy some of that really nice "feel good juice" in the hope that I feel good enough to drink it over the weekend.

    8 for me please Shaggy
    Need to start again :o
