BTW Shaggy, another notch on the bedpost of life for me!

2 AF days so far this month out of my 8

I will have a bottle of red with DH tomorrow courtesy of the M and S £20 Valentine Special.
Bearing in mind DH hasn't had a drink since 1967 we can be pretty sure I'll be drinking the bottle tomorrow night.
It's our 20th anniversary since we went to lunch at the Tricycle in Kilburn as colleagues, the rest is history...

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    The Don’t Quit Poem

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
    When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Laurent I love that poem. Thanks so much for that. :T

Oh come on - just to prove my point - PM me your home address and I'll send you a pack of Galaxy Counters. It's a different league altogether.
There's a quotation from Pulp Fiction coming to mind but not quite there - something around foot massages and not the same ball park but I can't quite remember it, I must watch the video over the weekend then I''ll quote you on Monday but essentially, Minstrels are division 1 whereas Galaxy Counters are premier league plus

:rotfl: I shouldn't be eating any chocolate if truth be known - Valentine's Day monday however :silenced:

Yes £265K of my debt is mortgage and the rest is credit card/zopa etc.
I'm snowballing and according to my snowball I will be debt free in October 2027 which is when I will be 64! Fortunately, under the ConDem (abolition of retirement age) regime I don't have to retire at 65 but can carry on working forever, I had my son at 39 and twins at 43 so if I carry on working until I'm around 75 I will just about be able to finance them through college.

I am currently paying £2300 toward my debt monthly and the actual debt is reducing by £500 per month at present, so that's £1800 per month interest - what can I say, at least it's going down.............

People achieve amazing things on MSE and in the meantime you get to chat to lots of great people ;). Twins at 43! Are they girls or boys or one of each?
