Minstrels are OK but I would pass them up any day for Galaxy Counters
So glad these are back on the shelves nowadays, shame they cost so much money

Oh no - Minstrels every time!

Jo I hope you don't mind me asking but does your signature include mortgage debt?
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Though an enforced trip to the Trafford Centre nearly broke my resolve when the following phrase was uttered - " Shall I go to Wetherspoons and wait there while you carry on looking around!!"

  • 9 for me please, Shaggy, ta.

No, Miss Piggy, you must not go away for a while - you do a brilliant job putting up with those dreadful outlaws  and the step-children.

Must get on, just got a new project, which I'd better start ... :j

Meeting DD1 for lunch in Leeds tomorrow (she's at Leeds Uni) - can't wait :j Now, talking about nightmare teenagers, she took the biscuit! I'm really hoping we can set a precedent for a wonderful, new, grown-up relationship now

  • Oh my god...sneak on here for a peek and end up crying!!:cry:

You guys are so lovely. I'm sorry, I honestly thought I was driving you all mad with my tales of woe.:(

Things aren't great here - OH feeling very low, thinking that things never seem to go our way. Guess its up to us to change that, as no-one can do that for us. Lifes what you make it.

Anyway....I promise not to drivel on.

Thanks everyone - this has been a really crappy week but you have all just made my day.

    Miss P

    xx

    Good post.
I hate 'sharing' but always feel better when I do. I have to realise that other people WANT to help me (even if it is by listening), and that I am not being a burden.
  • Here you go Miss Piggy

Saw this in Firewalker's diary . You might find it appropriate.

    The Don’t Quit Poem

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
    When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.
