  • Morning all,

Lovely clear head again.....bliss, I'm getting used to this nice feeling in the morning :D

Well done to Mackeroo and Maman for the weightloss, what's the secret?? I have cut down on wine massively and am not really eating late at night anymore as the munchies that come with drinking are no longer happening and I'm sure I've not lost an ounce. I don't think I have the discipline to count points or do portion control. I think my weakness is probably my problem, I love nice breads and cheese....anyway I can't manage cutting everything out at once as I would go completely bonkers:rotfl::rotfl:
I quite like the sound of the creme egg diet although;)

Hello to Scotdebs :wave:and well done on being AF last night.

    Get well soon Bearacus.

Miss P Hope all goes well with Mum and you enjoy your couple of days off work.

Shaggy, I'm going one better than crisps....I thought Pork Scatchings would create a nice sound effect :rotfl::rotfl:and then some of that "Space dust" during those very quiet, tragic scenes. What's the bets on my being thrown out by the interval!!

    Happy Thursday everyone.

    Hi Folks!

Please can I join? I thought that most people had a tipple every night but have realised that this is not the case! I've finally been honest with myself and worked out my units per week and I'm horrified! I've considered the consequences and one of them is the drain on my finances! I've been AF since 1st feb as a result and would like to continue AF with the exception of Saturdays when I hope I'll be able to pace myself!

So, I'm aiming for 22 AF days for this month!

    Lala x
    :);) AF since 10.04.11 :):D

    Hello everyone,

checking in as it's been a couple of days since last post.

Bearacus - hope you get well very soon.
    ForeverHopeful, Scotdebs & Lala1974 - welcome!
Mackeroo & Maman - well done on your weightloss, fantastic achievement!
Janjan - how was the opera? Were you armed with lots of crunchy snacks / rustly sweet bags?!
MissP - Hope you're enjoying your days off and hope your mum is recovering well. Don't worry about the blip, we all have those.

Speaking of which... I am quite worried about having a blip tonight and ruining my 4-day challenge and also my targets. I've had a really stressful week so far. Work's majorly busy with stuff going on there that I'm not going into details about now. Got to go to Paris for 2 very loooong days next week to give a presentation (another thing threatening my targets), and before that, my sister is having her birthday celebrations this weekend and wants to do a meal out on Friday night, and then a big night out on Saturday night. I had only really planned on one night's celebrations (finance & time-wise) so now I'm going to feel guilty if I don't go to both, especially now that my other sister is saying she might not go on Sat night... Aaarrghh! I don't even know why I'm stressing as my sister was not around to help me celebrate my birthday last year! Hmm! Any tips / advice appreciated...

All that aside, I'd like to declare 3 out of 4 days AF for the 4-day challenge please Pen & 2 days AF for Feb please Shaggy. I still don't know whether I am going to crack and buy wine on the way home... then I will just feel even worse about myself! Will try and update later, although got yet another bloke coming round to quote for stripping out the kitchen....

How are you bear? I was going to say 'one day at a time' because if you don't drink tonight that's one less (or rather one more IYSWIM). I'd go to both your sister's parties. That's because I'm always one for taking the moral high ground:o Now whether I could be that noble and not drink is another story.....

    Hiya all,

well... I didn't go to the shop so I'm AF tonight and feeling very happy that I didn't just give into the urge to buy wine :D So declaring 1 more AF for Feb please Shaggy, and 4-day challenge completed please Pen! Whoop!

Thanks Marru - I'm probably being dense here but what does IYSWIM stand for? :o Hmmm, still considering the weekend's plans, will see what happens. The £35 taxi home is not too appealing considering my recent money-saving efforts :money:

Anyway going to fetch another brew & think about how much better I'll feel in the morning than if I'd given in.

    Bear xx
