  • Morning all

Well, I stuck to 2 glasses last night. Slept well and woke up clear headed. So thats something.

Hopefully today will be a better day. Did contemplate not telling you guys :o but then realised how ridiculous that was!

Anyway, onwards and upwards. Off to work shortly - last day and then I'm off for a few days (thank god).

  • Morning all,

Snap Miss P...I had a few glasses of wine last night :o not for any reason just a s*d it moment.....only now I have to pay for my sins if I want to achieve my target of 4 this week as on Thursday I will have to sit throught 3 long hours of Opera:eek:   without even a tiny tipple to ease the pain. Apologies to any Opera fans but it's my first time and I'm a bit concerned that I may start snoring after the 1st scene.

Anyway onwards and upwards, looking forward to being AF tonight and waking up with a lovely clear head tomorrow.

    Have a good day all.

morning, not posted for a few days but I've not been drinking either so all good. I have been thinking about setting a target, whether that's a good thing or not for me, and have decided to go for 20 days please Shaggy. I have friends here on holiday for a week and there's a good chance that I'll be drinking with them, although not necessarily excessively.

I've now been two weeks without alcohol and feel pretty good!
    Trying to keep in budget.

DH is big opera fan and I've sort of learned to love it over time. I often make a trip to the theatre an AF night (wine's usually carp in the bar anyway). However, I still feel sleepy, I think it's about sitting down for a long time, I'm just not used to it. Be brave janjan, you might even enjoy it. Which one is it?
  • Pen can you put me in the fourday challenge please....that's Monday and Tuesday ticked off.

Shaggy I'll have my first score on the board please 1AFD for Feb.

    Thanks

  • Hi Maman,

It's The Magic Flute or Die Zauberflote to those in the know unlike myself! I bought the tickets for my OH as it's something he has wanted to do for a long time...I love theatre, plays, musicals just about anything but Opera has never really been top of my list.

Saying this the more I think of it I am quite looking forward to it... It's a bit of an effort traipsing up to London on a school night but it will be nice to get a bit dressed up and have something nice to eat beforehand. Also, probably best that I stay off the wine as that is more likely to send me off to sleep and I wouldn't want to start snoring or dribbling on my neighbours shoulder :rotfl::rotfl:

Do you think popcorn a big "no no" ? ;)

    Have a good day

Maman, I'm just having a few days at home (whilst piglet at school) catching up with stuff I've been meaning to do for ages. Going to have a good sort out of my cupboards and ship some stuff off to charity shops / recycling while OH at work and unable to stop me!:D (he's a bit of a hoarder!). Mums in hospital tomorrow as well so at least I'll have time to be able to pop up and see her.
