Hi everyone,
FH the news about your friend is really bad, I can't think of anything worse than losing a baby, everything else pales into insignificance. I hope the mother recovers her own health at least.
Cazz Your job sounds a nightmare. I hope something better comes along for you.
Jo whatever is happening in your life at the moment is totally undeserved. It's hardly suprising you drank some wine but it doesn't matter as long as you learn from the experience. Keep your resolve and enthusiasm and show who is the better person.
Mark I'm not sure what your aims or ambitions are re drinking but whether you want to cut down or stop completely I don't think visiting the pub is a good idea. Too much temptation. I think alll of us on this thread have had to make sacrifices on the way.

Can I finish with a rant?? Why is it that in my local pub, 1.5 pints of lager is £3, a pint of coke and an orange juice is £4.25????? And a shandy is the same price as lager?
Agreed it's a bit of a rip off. Try lime and soda (or other cordial with soda), that's a bit cheaper in most places. I don't go in pubs often now but when I do I get a pint of lime and soda. I find coke, orange juice etc. nice at first but a bit sickly after a while.0 -
Evening all!
Just quickly dashing on whilst Piglet in bath. He's being allowed to stay up a bit to see some of Pudsey Bear
Tonight won't be AF. But it was planned and it won't be too excess. Just going to enjoy a couple of glasses of wine whilst watching Children in Need. Am also engrossed in a book I got from the library....its called " The Ultimate Goddess - Be the woman you want to be" and I think it may become my new bible! OH just thinks I really am going through a mid-life crisis though !:rotfl:
Looking forward to tomorrow. OH is taking me to Basingstoke in the afternoon so I can do some shopping and spend my birthday money. Then we are going for an italian meal in the evening. Piglet is staying at my Mum and Dads. Can't wait....love shopping (when I have money!:rotfl:)

Morning all,
Well what a crap day I had yesterday and I got myself drunk to blot the whole thing out, no excuses, no regrets, in fact I'm pleased I did it to reinforce the fact that I no longer want to do it, don't feel too bad this morning, only drunk one bottle of red.
Never mind, at least it was only the one bottle and you of all people know that we are all allowed a little blip every now and then (and you obviously had a good reason after such a crap day). Hope things are sorting themselves out.0 -
good evening all,
Well, I had a (very) early night yesterday, slept ok but was awake again at 4.30 am. Consequently feeling tired already. I am finding reading which I enjoy is just sending me to sleep lately so a bit of a viscious circle. (note to self find more interesting books)
On the af front I have at last finished my course of antibiotics. I can hardly believe 6 weeks have passed, so tomorrow my real challenge begins. I can already feel myself changing from enforced abstinance to having no constraints other than those I impose on myself so willpower and utter resolve will need to come into play.
Hope that makes sense.
Anyway, for now, Jo 1 for the weekend challenge please.
Shaggy 19 for November please.
Night for now.
