What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    Morning all,

Well what a crap day I had yesterday and I got myself drunk to blot the whole thing out, no excuses, no regrets, in fact I'm pleased I did it to reinforce the fact that I no longer want to do it, don't feel too bad this morning, only drunk one bottle of red. Total spontenaity (sp?), didn't buy drink, just got in and thought, I know, there's a couple of bottles of red in the cupboard, I'm having one, and I did.

Can't really say what happened yesterday except that police are involved and they coming round to see me next week to write a statement. Just knocked me for 6 yesterday, really did. I'm excusing myself for drinking, have NO intention whatsoever of picking up again, I have no regrets and no guilt, I will say that it got me through a very emotional time last night and today it's not as full on and I can deal with it.

So, onwards and upwards, sorry Pen, didn't complete the challenge this week and Shaggy I'll be one behind for the rest of the month.

Anybody interested in a Friday - Sunday AF Challenge? I am :D

Piglet poorly last night - couldn't make our minds up what was up with him but a cold has come out on him today so I think thats what he was coming down with. He's insisting he wants to go to school though as its Pyjama day for Children in need! Have a feeling I may get a call from the school halfway through the day.

Cripes...look at the time...better get a shifty on! Start work at 9 today...not yet showered or dressed and haven't done Piglets lunchbox yet!

  • Hello all,

Just 1 more AFD to report since my last post, so not very good still.

Am planning on being AF til at least Monday now - going to try and stick to that target, hopefully its an achievable one for me.

Jo - hope the incident with police involved gets sorted and you are coping ok now. Be strong. Hugs.

Still hating my evening job at the supermarket - they are working us like dogs and I come in exhausted, with a hurting back, having had a horrid evening shift - manager barking orders and timing us on getting the cages of goods on the shelves, moaning we aren't going fast enough, when we are working our asses off........all for £6.08 an hour and no supplement for working til midnight!!

It really is slave labour. I absolutely detest it. But I have no time to look for anything else at the moment and I can't live without the money, even the pittance it is, so I will have to just put up with it for the meantime. At least I've only got tonight and then I can forget about it until next week.

Hugs to all, have a lovely day,

    Caz

  • Blimey Caz, I was thinking a job in my local supermarket would be preferable to my hour commute and putting up with obnoxious hotshots that think the world begins and ends with them. But maybe not X Stick in and it won't be forever ((hugs))

Jo~sorry to hear about yesterday. Things are sent to try us aren't they? You still sound full of reslove thugh, so well done.

I wasn't AF yesterday. But I only had one glass of wine late evening. A large one mind :o Even then I took an age to get to sleep because I couldn't get my friends face out of my mind. It's weird though because I'm so used to be able to keep up with everyone's lives on the internet that I feel I should know how she is. But I know she'll be in a hell of a place today and her parents and husband are with her. I can't phone, it wouldn't be right.

Off to draw pictures with my little man :D He thinks I'm just like Squigglet from Get Squiggling!
    Need to start again :o

    Hi everyone.

Wasn't AF yesterday:o but one positive was that I didn't drink the lot and got to bed at a decent hour. At least I feel safe that I can still post here without being judged:D And knowing I'm not weird has meant I don't have the worry and guilt of slipping, which really helps.

Jo - what a tough day for you, and I think a lot of us here would have done exactly what you did. Still, you sound very strong and positive (not wracked with guilt) and at the end of the day we've all go to do what we have to do to get through things like that, and come out the other side stronger.

Cazza - 1 AF day is one more than none! Well done for that! Job's are a !!!!! when you're getting treated like that for peanuts. I remember when I worked in a supermarket - hated it! It helped me if I set myself chanllenges, like emptying a cage in record time, or being super-helpful to customers - what a feeling a "Thank You" from a customer was (no-one else was going to say that:mad:). Still, could be worse, you could be jobless and at home with the bells all day....

FH - with you about thinking a local job in the supermarket might be preferable to my long commute and job (its amazing how much you can worry yourself in a car alone, driving in the dark for hours), but maybe not.

Well done miamoo.:T I look forward to when I can say the same.

Well, keep strong everyone and have a good day.

Can I finish with a rant?? Why is it that in my local pub, 1.5 pints of lager is £3, a pint of coke and an orange juice is £4.25????? And a shandy is the same price as lager? So you trying to be good and then get charged extra for the priviledge:mad::mad::mad:.

    Rant over.

    Take care.:):)

I had another AF day yesterday so that is 2 for me now!

Mark I get annoyed that a mug of tea in my local is £2. I have worked it out to be £6 a pint for tea which is just a tea bag and a bit of milk. I don't even take sugar!! I know they have to boil the water too but £6 is a bit steep. The only place I found with affordable soft drinks is Wetherspoons but not as cosy as my local where I can meet my friends.
