Has anyone had dealings with uk parking patrol

Hi
Has anyone had any dealings with UK Parking Patrol Office, office based in Manchester.

As far as I am aware this is a private company, and as I am the owner of the vehicle in question but wasn't the driver I was thinking of sending Martins template letter stating that I am the owner and I am not obliged to disclose the driver. Is this correct?

Or should I not reply at all to this company. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

  • This company is well-known on here and can safely be ignored. Once again another tin-pot private parking company with a grand (and probably intentionally) misleading name.

  • Thanks for your reply when looking on the internet they have a website looks official. The letter is quite threatening court appearance/ bailiffs if I ignore the letter and not reply will they just leave it or send the bailiff round.

To send the bailiffs round they will need to

    1 take you to court
    2 win their case
3 have a CCJ against you to which you dont pay

    All 3 highly unlikely.

You can safely ignore, dont waste you time with these foold, keep the letter as you will get many more promising

we might or we could do this and that but they dont and wont
I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
    Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.

    PRESS THANKS

That's the idea. With that stupid name and their website, they try and fool people into paying up.

  • Thankyou I'll ignore
  • On looking at the sticky notes on the first page showing letters that would be received by certain private companies. On there is UKPC (UK Parking Control) but the company I am researching is UK Parking Office office in Manchester. Just a bit worried that this is a different company to the one mentioned and is UK Parking Office letters still ok to ignore.

Using google I would guess you mean this lot www.parkingpatrol.co.uk/contact.html

The same advice applies as for all other PPCs (Private Parking Companies) - IGNORE. The standard PPC garbage appears on this page www.parkingpatrol.co.uk/ethics.html, for example they talk about contract law and the motorist but then try to tie that to the vehicle's owner - or offender as they like to call them!

Yet another company with a name that is designed to fool people into believing they are some sort of official organization.

  • Keep copies of all the junk mail you get and when finished send them to Crabman as we obviously need a set.
