ok so while im waiting for this silly form to be fixed ive been thinking over my choices again and im not sure what to do.
basically i decided to apply for cambridge as im only a few days of experience off of the minimum requirements for that course but my first choice is UWIC cus its close to my current uni. but now im thinking of putting cambridge first becuase i think it'd be so amazing to get qualified by cambridge but then if i dont get in and then dont get into uwic cus they werent first and filled up places while i was going through the cambridge bit i'd be pretty miffed.
so any advice as to which i should put first?0 -
Hey Mel,
I've put Cambridge as my first choice but thats because that#s where I want to go. Leicester is my second, jujst 10 mins from my current uni. Yeah it'd be nice to stay here, but I want cambridge more. The question is do you want cambridge of UWIC?0 -
see im not sure. a cambridge pgce would enhance my cv and employability like tenfold in the long run though im not confident that i'd get even an interview unless my personal statement wows them. my main reason for uwic was purely cus its close, means i wouldnt have to move again and is a good course. to be honest i'd be happy with absolutely any of my choices - i just want to teach!0

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions please: I have science double award GCSE (A*) but the form only recognises 'science' and therefore I'm only credited with one A*.
Any thoughts on how to sort this please?
Thank you.0 -
I made the decision to try for Cambridge not aren't 100% confident either. I am hoping my personal statement grabs them enouigh to get me to interview stage. Leicester I am more confident I'll get in. You need to look at your options really and see what you want to do. In the end I've decided if I have to move I have to move.0

When you go into the form it's under a different heading. I also have double award science but A grade.
Under education click add science qualification. Then click other GCSE or international qualification (bottom option)
Click G on the next screen then select GCSE double award. This enters your GCSE as 20 -

im confident enough in me that i think i'd have a chance if i got an interview at cambridge at least. i guess if my personal statement isnt good enough for even an interview they'll reject me pretty quick which will hopefully then still catch the UWIC interviews hopefully. ok i'll give cambridge a try *eek*
now when are they gonna do the damn form! apparently theres maintenance due on the 5th october...talk about leaving it too late!
(sorry read it wrong hence the edit. fail haha)0
