  • Atos healthcare have a list of conditions that cann't be seen by nurses, these are such neurological problems as Parkinsons, stroke, brain heamorrage,MS etc and a list that neuro trained nurses can see.

If new evidence comes up of a condition during exam that nurse is unable to see because it is on list or they are not neuro trained they have to be handed over to a Dr.

As far as i am aware length of time with condition is not really a factor,ESA exam is about your functional ability what you are capable of doing,or the help you need to do things and why you cann't do them yourself.

But its worked in a way you cannot do anything but fail.

    Can you walk 100 yrds......

Yes but im on my knees having a heart attack and coughing up blood.

Then the answer is YES...makes no difference if you die at 101yrds.

Can you sit for 30 mins.

Yes but only if im in severe pain.

Answer is YES...makes no odds you have too keep standing then sitting back down.

    Its a total con...:(

And the appeal process is the opposite...after failing my medical,i appealed...appeal was looked at few weeks later and despite showing some pretty horrific photos of my condition they said ""nope nothing wrong with you""....Hmmmm ok thats why my doctor has signed me off 6 months then...lol.

Then appeal the appeal so off it goes too tribunal....today ive finaly found out when it will be,well i say WHEN,i actually mean when it WONT be before.

The earliest it will be is 1/03/2011....

    That's an awfully long time.:(

The whole time im still being paid ESA...crazy.
  • Agrree if you can sit for 30 mins you won't score,if you have to stand up before 30 mins you would score....or you should...... 6 points....... thing to do is stand in your exam then you would/should score lol........ time set that exam should take for ESA is 47 mins set by DWP!!!!

Ahh well i stood several times due too severe psorasis on legs/back side/back/inner thighs/hands/feet and elbows.

Hurts too sit...hurts too stand...hurts too lay down...hurts when its wet and hurts like hell when it dries.

Nope nothing wrong with me so they say....Zero points.:j

Next time im going too wear a string vest and a thong....then lets see what they score me...lol
