Windows search problem

Hmmm... How do you send your email? Have you followed the instructions in post #29?

Good morning Donnie,

Downloaded and saved to desktop as in post 29. Restarted pc as instructed and when I double click to open it says "the search assistant is now disabled. You may need to log off/log on for the change to take effect" Then asks if I wish to visit Kelly's Korner.

I use Outlook to send mail.

So, have you rebooted?

Yes, rebooted when asked and have now done so again.
When double clicking on noasst I only have the option to open or cancel.

Problem solved - it is the keyboard at fault after all. I changed it with an old one which is working fine. The pc is only a year old so I will take the keyboard back to the shop, speak nicely to him, and maybe get a discount on a new one.
