Windows search problem

Perhaps you can uninstall Windows Desktop Search. Is it in Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs?
If not we will find the uninstall string in another way.0 -
Windows search 4.0?
I'm not very techy as you can see.0 -
Started to remove but apparently there are a lot of program updates installed after this which "may" be affected. Is it still ok to remove or can I just disable?0

If you can disable it(via Services?), do so.0

Just uninstall it.0

In the updates (Add/Remove Programs), look for KB940157. This should be Windows Desktop Search 4.0. Uninstall it.0
