Andy, thats brill you giving these details. I have since been and looked and contacted them and it is a fantastic deal. The 4.65% deal only started today as you mentioned, and even tho it has a product fee of £799 and Valuation fee of £350 (in our case...as the valuation fee is connected to the price of house) it makes our monthly payments extremely well affordable!!!
However - just a slight problem.....they will only lend 75% of the Value of the house. We need 76%, so we are extremely close so now investigating whether we have any family that would like to give us a nice loan to help us out.
You see, if it wasnt for this forum, i would have never known about this deal as our even tho we havent completed our mortage deal, we had a broker around 2 weeks to sort this out and oblviously at the time this offer wasnt around, so ended up looking at not such a good deal...... so im so chuffed. Its a shame cant make regualr posts on this board, of special rates and offers as they appear so potential buyers can find out about these offers when they appear.
Thanks again Andy!!0 -

In C & G yesterday completing Mortgage Application for House move. Mortgage advisor said that he would not put our application through until monday because the C & G were waiving the Mortgage Arrangement Fee as of 2nd October.
Note: You will still have to pay the valuation fees, but this has saved us £499.:T

Sorry for confusion - got my application done in the branch this morning, brought application home for the wife to sign and returned to branch before closure. Just awaiting for the legals etc to go through.0 -
Just looked on C&G website and the deals are on there now,fee free.0

We just took advantage of this deal as First time buyers, very pleased! Managed to save ourselves a fortune - were initially going with HBOS, who would of charged us £499 arrangement fee, about £1800 HLC, and a load of other things, totalling £2800 or so! With this C&G (or in our case its arranged through Lloyds TSB Scotland) deal, we only have to pay something like £30 extra! So pleased! And they gave us an agreement in principle yesterday so couldn't be happier!0

Well the 4.65% is low, but with the 799 product fee doesnt then make it as good. (work out the monthly payment x 24, then add the product fee!)
But their 5.09% with no fees, works out much better. Well in the sense that you will pay back LESS over the two years on the 5.09 deal. (work out the monthly payment x 24, then nothing more to add as no product fee)0
