C & G Waiving Arrangement Fee

Hi All,

In C & G yesterday completing Mortgage Application for House move. Mortgage advisor said that he would not put our application through until monday because the C & G were waiving the Mortgage Arrangement Fee as of 2nd October.
Note: You will still have to pay the valuation fees, but this has saved us £499.:T

Likely a branch thing ...They have some special offers via intermediaries as well , especially on the fixed rate range ( lower rates but higher fees)

I don't know; I am applying for a remortgage with C&G and they are waiving the product fee, waiving the closure of account fee and are subsidising the legal fee if it's more than they initially quoted (which seems likley to be the case.)

The below is copied directly from an email notification I received on Friday regarding the launch of the above mentioned products.

Check the rates and product type carefully, make sure you compare with similar products to assess the overall 'true' costs.

    Fantastic fee-free remortgage deals:
4.89% 2-year tracker (with no ERC!)
    5.09% 2-year fixed-rate
for loans of £25k+ up to 90% LTV

    • No product fee

    • No transfer of funds fee

    • No valuation fee on properties valued under £2m

    • No fee for standard legal work on loans of £50k or more

    The offers don’t stop there…
There’s no product fee on house purchases or remortgages with our standard range products during October
    and…
Our other great rates are still available, including:
    Strictly limited offer 4.65% 2-year Fixed-rate
    (£799 product fee applies)
    House purchase and remortgage!
Withdrawal at short notice likely – please hurry!

    Exclusive Intermediary-only fixed-rates
    2-year fixed-rate 4.85%
    3-year fixed-rate 4.99%
    5-year fixed-rate 5.09%
    (£799 product fee applies)

The above is not a recommendation or an endorsement, merely for information in reply to the thread.

I LOOKED ON THE C&g WEBSITE, MENTIONS NOTHING OF WAIVING THE 499 PRODUCT FEE. IS THIS ONLY A BRANCH THING LIKE SOMEONE MENTIONED IT BEING A POSSIBILITY?
