Happy new car Ames - what colour is it? (that's as technical as I get with cars)

Suzy - Go back tomorrow and ask to speak to whoever is in charge and ask to make a formal complaint about it - doesn't matter if the manager isn't there - someone must be in charge in their absence. I paid in a cheque to one of the machines in my branch and hadn't noticed that the reciept said £0.00, I went and asked a few days later (when it hadn't shown in my account) and they said that it can take up to a week for them to reconcile the balances so don't give up just yet.

DH and I have had a bit of a  day....we started our relationship in debt and this will be the first time out of it....bit of a frightening concept and we're trying to get our heads around who we are when we're debt free....if that makes any sense. It's so ingrained into us to not spend and clear, clear, clear the debt and whilst we want to save, save, save we want a bit of breathing space......who knew that becoming debt free would make us feel so lost.

I have never got the hang of having spare money....I seem to manage better when money is 'tight'. It makes me focus more. I guess the best thing to do is to have a goal of how you want to spend/save your money in the future.

Glad you have had a break even if you would probably give it all up to have your OH fully well again. xx

I have had a hard day...well a hard week actually. Been doing an online class this morning...amazingly still managed to have an idiot in the class even online!!

The tutor is really good and I think I have the hang of ratios :rotfl:

Then had a networking thing....not beeen in long and Chloe is really struggling with full days at school. She is so tired she is virtually hysterical. I can't wait for her to have a lie in on Saturday. Have to get up at two am to take my DD1 to airport and am minding my grandson for the weekend!

    :grouphug: Beanie...

And Suzy definitely make a more formal complaint.

I once had two envelopes - one with cash for the bank and one for the post box...guess which one went in the post box....never did get my money back!

Pooky, it's silver - I figured that the inevitable keying will show up less than in black. And the only options were various silvers or various blacks - I guess since it's more of a company car so there's not much choice.

I get what you mean about being scared of being out of debt. I still panic about big expenses (like my course fees last month) even though I've saved up for them and the money's there. I don't know what I'd be like if I were debt free!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Pooky I totally understand. It's been your uncomfortable 'comfort zone' for a long time and is probably a way you think about yourselves....as in I am a person in debt. It's like losing a lot of weight - the journey was hard but once you're at goal it's like "well what do I do now?" You need to have a new focus (can't remember who said that already) and learn to manage the money you will have instead of managing the money you didn't have (iyswim).
YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

really....it's not hard to understand :T
