    Suzy, if you are sure you deposited £100 more, don't be fobbed off. Put a formal complaint in writing giving as much detail as you can, and state your intention to take it to the banking ombudsman if you are not happy with the outcome.

    The worst that can happen is you waste a few more pence on a stamp, but they will have to take your complaint seriously and investigate properly. Banks do not want bad publicity, especially at the moment, and something like this, where there is doubt being cast on the trustworthiness of their employees, will be taken seriously.

    Their guidelines may say that the job of counting should be done by two people, but shortcuts may be being taken. If the £100 WAS in the envelope, then there is potentially an employee stealing money, and it is in the interest of the bank, as well as you, to investigate.

    it's been on for 3 nights since Tues, Snags. I'm not sure if it's a repeat, but i rather like watching Steve Backshall!!! He's a bit of all right!!:D
