Wired connection means the desktop is connected to the router by an Ethernet cable.0

yeh, my desktop is connected to the router by an ethernet cable and still that link doesnt open. Sorry.0

everything u need to do for ya router will be 192.168.2.1, or whatever ur IP address is...0

Have you run the Smart Wizard on the Resource CD that came with the router? That sets up the wireless security automatically.
The IP address of the Netgear WGT624 is actually http://192.168.1.1. Username is admin, password is password. Click on Wireless Settings if you need to set up wireless security manually.0 -
Good point chippy!
I think http://www.routerlogin.com/ should always work, but try 192.168.1.1 first.
If neither work, post the output of..
start, run, cmd
ipconfig /all >c:\1.txt
notepad c:\1.txt
when you are using a wired connection, and have done a ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renewEver get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
