  • Hello Bluejeans 53.... came across your diary today and just read from beginning..... what a day to subscribe when you got your PPI and will be debt free, no doubt that feels wonderful, but please make sure you don't spoil it by splurging because you are so happy.....

i will subscribe to your diary and enjoy watching your new journey. yes emotional eating is linked to something not right in your soul...it is a big journey to go on, but the sooner you find out what is causing the unrest in your soul, the sooner you can find solutions....
congrats on grabbing life with 2 hands!
  • PPI payment in my bank account, when I checked this morning. :money::money::money:.

That will be me debt free by the end of the week.

Now my problems realy start. How to hang onto my money and not go back to my old ways.

    :)
Hi Blue jeans, just been reading a bit of your diary and I totally understand where you're coming from. I was heavier than you say you are and am only 5ft. I watched Oprah once and she talked about "loving yourself with food" and I think we do that sometimes when we have issues in our past. A year ago I was diagnosed with diabetes and was a bit overwhelmed at first with what to eat to cope with this plus high blood pressure and borderline high cholesterol. I think I am coping with this now but it amazing how this sorts your head out a bit about food. I'm sure if this had not happened I would still be eating all the wrong things and feeling bad about it. I'm still not the weight I want to be and have lapses now and again but I do feel better for the weight I have lost. I wish you well with everything and understand how hard it is so good luck and dont beat yourself up about it.:)
  • YEAH Bluejeans:T:T:T Congratulations on being debt free:j:j:j

I'm sure you will stay 'on the wagon' and we will all push you back on should you start to slide:rotfl:.

How did you get on with the Ebaying, have you made your millions yet?

    Congrats again:beer:

Hope you feel better soon. Still, there's always an upside - at least you won't feel like shopping ;)

Congratulations on becoming debt free. Now you're there you won't want to spend the money you do have. I always find that when I'm in the red I think 'what difference is another £20 going to make?', it's when I've got it I don't want to spend it :)
It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :j

  • Well I am back and feeling tip top......just a bit of a cough.

Nearly all done, just a few bits to get and some Food shopping.

Making plans for 2011. I am not going into the year in a head long dash. I usually do this and about 2-3 weeks in it all collapse on me. So Thinking things through and making realistic goals.

patricia50 Hiya, thanks for your post, I will reply more fully. This is an area I am going to make more realistic goals in for 2011.

savingmore Hiya, Thankyou for joining me. I agree a lot of my actions are inter linked, I have a few whys to work on in 2011.

polesalot Hiya, I am really hoping that finally being Debt Free will make me more sensible ? this is another area I will need to work hard on in 2011. Planning is going to be high on my list.

3 kids 2 jobs 1 dog, Hiya yes I will need you all to keep me on the debt free frugal wagon. I did not sell any of my Ebay items. I will try again in he New Year.

Procrastination is also on my list and very near the top.

So my homework plans will revolve around

    Frugal living
    Planning
    Procrastination
Weigh Loss ( which includes finding more active, free activities, days out etc).

    :)
