Was just wondering from reading the posts on here if anyone else is like me and has b**ger all to show for all the debt they are now in ?? I know some people are in debt due to a mortgage / kids etc. But I don't have either and am starting to feel worse & worse about it ??
I coudln't really recall what all the money went on apart from rent a car and a few frivolous holidays!

Well I have a little boy but i wouldn't say he has anything to do with our debt lol
But we have got a few odds and sods to show for our debt but mainly it was spent on rubbish or paying bills when we were skint and a couple of hols. We have got 2 sofa's, laminate flooring, wooden doors and a fire place a least but wouldn't cost enough to justify our debt.
So guess we are no different to yourself

Same here. Not even just once either. First ex was a drunk and I did what he wanted to keep him happy and calm, and second one was/is a gambler (which got progressively worse through our relationship) so I ended up shouldering all the bills etc cos he was always skint, even though he earned 4 times as much as I did. I even used to pay his ex wife her child support. Older and much much wiser now though.....and poorer

Mine was just basic living essentials from when my other half was too unwell to work and we didn't have the money to cover the bills and so used credit cards, etc. It soon racked up to stupid levels - about £35K at it's worst - and I was only earning about £17K at the time

Then got in touch with a DMP company who helped sort us out. That was a long time ago now and it's almost all in the past - my wages have more than doubled since then and I'm just left with a few scars on my credit report but they're slowly dwindling

In no paticular order I can honestly say that I have nothing to show for it except bills, hassle, stress and a much worse standard of living. I do remember a holiday that went on the card which is universally acclaimed to be the worst family holiday we ever had so not even any good memories from that. Have had a look round the house and can honestly say there is nothing here.
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear
