Next issue to be despatched will be '817 091010' on sale from 05/10/2010
Which means if you order it now the last issue should be the one for week beginning 25th December but it might be questionable as they usually charge double for a double issue.0 -
In the past when Christmas has been on a Saturday the double issue has apparently started on the 18th

so it would be well within the 12 weeks0 -

I've just ordered this, the big Xmas issue should be well before the last issue of the offer. (last one will be out 21st Dec if you order this week).
I did this offer last year and they counted the Xmas issue as one issue.0 -

I did this last year as well and can also confirm that the double issue counted as one so if you subscribe today, the double issue will be your 11th out of the 12.0 -

I can't help you much on that I'm afraid as I live in another part of the country!
The best magazine to subscribe to would be the one that you receive normally - what local channels do you receive? What local BBC and ITV channels do you get?
I would maybe suggest send an email to the subscription service and ask which magazine covers your region. They are usually pretty good at responding.

IF You have now had your £1 direct debit taken and do not wish to extend beyond the 12 issue deal then email bbc@servicehelpline.co.uk <bbc@servicehelpline.co.uk>
with yourrefrence number and cancel your direct debit
This is one of the easiest companies to deal with, the reason they offer the deal in the first place is in order that thet can genuinely advise advertisers that they have x amount of subscribers in the lead up of their Christmas editions to gain maximum revenue for advertyising. So it is one of the few win win situations, rather than the seller expoiting the buyer or vice versa0
