Honest opinions about E2save please

I realise most of the posts that appear on here will be negative about them because why post, if you haven't had a problem?

So, what are people's genuine opinion about E2Save and their cashback deals? Or are there better companies for cashback? Mobiles.co.uk, dial-a-phone? +ve or -ve opinions wanted please!

No problems from me with them. I'm now on another contract with them and the pay up very quickly (around 2 weeks).
You just need to understand fully what is required and when. I know others have had terrible problems with them in the past, so know about their tricks. I have my own little routine with them and state the facts in a letter with every single claim. Not too sure if that's why I have had no issues, but not only does it work with them, but others as well - though some do need chasing of late like Buymobilephones, who have been breaching their own T&C's. I've got a ported number claim going in shortly with Mobiles.co.uk and that could be interesting - but the accompanying letter has already been drafted. lol
I would say go for any decent deal with them via a reputable cashback site like Topcashback for maximum value.

Thanks for that! I've previously had a cashback deal directly with CPW and had no problems with it either, but I've heard loads of horror stories about E2Save and Mobiles.co.uk so was just wondering if anyone had a good report! Sounds like there's a least 1 though!:D

  • It's not actually true that some dealers only get bad feedback because people wouldn't otherwise post. One of many misconceptions! Check out the Mobiles2yourdoor thread (which is Phones4) and you won't find much bad feedback despite a LOT of excellent feedback. Wonder why they all bothered posting if your theory is correct!???

Would you recommend them over the CPW companies?

To be fair, there will be more than 1 - but it's easier to complain than to give credit.
They have been excellent with me (so far), but it would be totally unfair to sing their praises when others have not been so fortunate. They have been "shakey" in the past if posts on MSE can be beleived, outright unfair even - but not to me.
It's still a game and you need to play, and play to win - just don't take it for granted and you shouldn't go far wrong.

At this moment in time and based on my most recent expreriences together with general feedback on the alternatives - yes. But only to someone who knows exactly what they're doing, follows the groundrules and knows what to do if the dealer turns nasty! Even IF they are slightly better than other cpw companies at this point in time they now have a strong history of changing their spots on a whim!
  • Ok, thanks for your opinions! 2nd question - Does anyone know if you have to keep the original phone for the full length of the contract in order for the cashback to be valid? Mobiles.co.uk say yes, the rest don't mention it as far as I can see...

Within 5 mins they agreed to pay all 3 payments if i sent copy of my latest bill!
