I think you will have to wait for an answer from Optimum Contact. I am not sure why it is only recording your voice. I don't use Skype or Pamela at all. I am sure you will find Optimum Contact understanding though.
Is there no option in Pamela to record ALL calls?0 -

It wasn't pamela that was recording only my voice, it was the sound recorder which i used on the laptop.
But no worries, they just replied back and said that people have problems with pamela now and then and that they can excuse 1 missing call so woop. They are indeed very understanding.
And i have no idea how to make pamela record all calls automatically.
EDIT: Forget i just said that, i managed to find the automatic recording function and just activated it.0 -

Good to know you got it sorted. Have u found an option in Pamela to record ALL calls?0 -
I just checked with my other half and i got it wrong we have broadband and the telephone line with BT but our calls are with Talk Talk! This prolly makes it confusing lol, God knows why he set it up like that.
So I'm not really sure what would be covered nowi will try and dig out the paper work and have a look
Quite possibly you were with OneTel (on Carrier Pre-selection) before it was bought out by TalkTalk. If you are still paying line rental to BT you will not get free calls to 0845 numbers from TalkTalk.
It may be that those OneTel customers who had line rental with OneTel, will get free 0845 calls now they are with TalkTalk.0 -

Yeah, I found an option that automatically records every call, which means the dialogue box won't appear and I wont have to worry about it not getting recorded.0 -
Thanks Paul, I'm starting to think the Skype option sounds good, as i alrdy have a laptop/skype and headset which leaves my hands free to type, also I can ring from wherever in the house....I could even work from the comfort of my bed!!0

Skype may well be the best option in your case.
Other options would be to sign up for inclusive calls with Talk Talk (OneTel?) and use a hardware recorder attached to the phone. Or go back to back to BT and sign up for their inclusive call package but, again, you would need hardware voice recorder attached to your phone.
The problem with Skype is that it is so dependant on a reliable internet connection; lose speed or connection drops and you could lose the phone call and a survey. Surprisingly, bad or even lost connections do not interfere with the use of The Optimum Contact website unless there is an actual internet problem at the very time you press the SUBMIT button.
Of course, with Skype, you already have a headset and landline phones do not generally accept headsets. However, if you work in a private room with little extraneous noise it is perfectly feasible to use a handsfree phone on a landline. That means you don't have the discomfort of wearing headsets! I am not sure if you can get a handsfree phone for use with Skype though.
One landline phone (NOT for use with Skype) that I know works well is the Binatone 3410 Combo; it comes with both corded and cordless handsets. If you are using the 0845 number, you can program it with that number (and any necessary pauses) making dialling much easier. The cordless handset is especially good at handsfree use - very clear and the person you are calling would have no clue you are on handsfree. You can find 'refurbished' models on the internet for under £25. It is quite a chunky phone however and uses more power on standby than most phones. It has a digital answering machine too.0 -
I was accepted today and have just been reading all the literature. When i clicked on start survey it listed 3 but they all had completion dates of 24/09/10. Does anyone know why that is? thanks x0

If the surveys are available, you may do them. In all probability, the cut-off date was extended, but OC have simply failed to amend the notes.0
