British Gas- Clickenergy

I have visited this site for the first time, after using the search engine - Google, to find clickenergy with british gas, and after reading the messages about clickenergy with british gas, I have now decided to stick with powergen my current supplier, and I will be phoning them Saturday afternoon straight after work to block the transfer. I hope it's not to late!! thankyou for the links to this site on Google.

See the threads here and here. It seems the problems people were experiencing with the website in June are still ongoing. It should be noted that the alternative to dealing with your account through their website is an 0906 premium rate phone line charged at 75p per minute! :eek:

In April 2003 a charity switched it electricity to Britich Gas (BG) and they now want to switch to a cheaper supplier. BG have blcoked the transfer because, they say, the charity has signed a contract, a three year contract.
Great three years is up the contract must have come to an end.
Oh no! Not true! If you do not terminate the contract it is automatically renewed.
Great lets terminate the contract.
Sorry you can't do that because your contract has been renewed! Why do you want to change? If it is because of price you can renew your contract and get a cheaper price!

I have jsut go hold of a direct line number to soemone in customer services. Never there and calls back the day after they say they will whenI am working in another office. Should I publish the number here?
