hugs to your DD. I think she's quite young and I completely understand why the thought of tampons is a bit too much right now. It took me a long time to pluck upb the courage to try them and I was a 'late' developer!
I think the note you wrote sounded really good. And I think it was right to explain to your DD not to lie to the school. I hope things get better for her.
Daughter is quite wimpy right now, the thought of using a tampon isn't filling her with joy at all. I think it'll be a while before she starts to feel comfortable about things...she's not having a great time at the moment.
It took my daughter a couple of years to get into using tampons. Ive actually found those with the applicators work the best as they help with positioning (hope thats not TMI lol) I bought a small selection for her to try in her own time.
You quite often can get freebies from the companies.
