Have you stuck a skewer through it to make sure it's cooked all the way through?
Err...no. I haven't got a skewer. It's had 55 mins, the first 30 mins at 160°C, the rest at 150°C. When pressed with a finger, the cake springs slowly back. I think it's done.
It had better be - it's getting eaten anyway! If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -

It looks like it coming away from the side of the tin so that's another good indication it's cooked through.
Are you pleased with it?0 -

Oh yeah - forgot to add that! I applied the same rules as the CYC - it seems a very similar recipe.

Errmmm...how on earth do I store this thing?
I've taken it out of the tin, and it's really sticky. It's not quite cold yet, but wherever I put it, it's gonna make a mess.
I pushed a knife into the bottom of it too, and it came out clean - that means it was cooked, right? :cool:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Yes, it sounds cooked, wrap it in foil and put it in a tin.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0
