Ist January 2011. I was glad 2010 was over, to say the least.

New year is almost upon me, all over again. I still don't understand all the stuff about your credit files, but i would'nt have known about them at all, if it was'nt for this website. I certainly can't afford to go and get copies of this and that. Anyway, not to worry about that, just for now. I guess i can always pay another visit to my cab advisor. Thats if they still have a job. After all, they told me last summer, they were losing it. Maybe my last visit to the IS office, too. Its just as easy to call in and get the necessary, when i'm in town. Do i have the courage? The amount of times i've stood outside, an emotional wreck. Not anymore, though. Its all been a nightmare, thats happened to someone else, has'nt it?

I've got to start moving on. I've got to drag myself out of this lethargy. Tomorrow, i must do the things i've been too lazy / lethargic, to do. Get myself sorted, before i end up working 7 days a week, again. I've got enough food, filled my car with petrol, and a travel ticket, to last me a while now. I've got a small amount of money, in the bank. I must'nt touch it, now. It will cover the first of my next dd's, but not all of them. Still the waiting game. Check my bank account every day, to see if theres anymore than there was the day before. Its touch and go. I don't think i'll receive any more pay for 2 or 3 weeks. Some on the 7th, i think, and a dd on the 7th. Will the pay go in, before the dd goes out. I get fed up of this balancing act. I want to get to the stage where i don't have to constantly worry, anymore. But then, not so long ago, a certain bank would help themselfself to ANY money you had in your account, and leave you with nothing. At least i don't have that anymore. Nor the endless phone calls, letters, and the fear of a knock on the door. But i still have the legacy. I never answer my phone, if i don't know the number or the number is withheld. So that explains why people don't answer their phones. Now i realise.

So tomorrow, pull my finger out and notify my change of address to dvla, for my driving licence, car registration document, tax office re NI. Get my name off mailing lists at old address. I don't want new owners knowing carp about me.

March is going to be a killer

Once i've paid my dd's, i've got my car insurance - £160.00. I really should change this car. I'd completely forgotten its insurance group 18. I must be mad. A bankrupt driving a car in insurance group 18. But my insurance is still lower than many other peoples, i've come to realise. I was talking to a guy last week who had a bog standard car, with 10 years no claims, and his insurance had just risen to £2000. £2000, OMG.

Road tax, which was, i think, £180 last year, so expect that to be anywhere up to £200. I want to pay that in one lump sum, if at all possible, so i don't have to spend the next 6 months worrying about it.

So that will be the major expense on the car ,out of the way for another year. I should'nt say that. You never can tell. Still need the electrics fixing, but i've already got the solvent to fix the roof, when the weather improves. Saved myself £800, there. £38. Cheap at half the price. Just have to get my * into gear.

Aaargh. Need to get my NI payments up to date before the end of the tax year too, otherwise i'll forget and never do it, as they don't remind you. Need to find and file letters tomorrow. Thats another £200 ish, i think. Then i can look at working tax credit from april. Easier to wait for all my p's to come in first. Need to get my fiddle back, too.

So all told, thats an extra £800 on top of the bills, rent etc, i already have to pay. Theres no wonder i never have any money for food. Still, i've got lots of tinned tomatoes and baked beans, now. Methinks i'm going to need them.

Realised too, my passport expires in may. Not that i'm going to use it. I have'nt used it for 5 years, other then for id. Its a very useful form of id, when you're bankrupt. £76 i believe, for a new one. Thats a strange feeling. Its the first time since i was 10 years old, i won't have a passport. Hmmmm So that puts paid to living anywhere in the world........

So those are the imminent finances i can think of, for now. Need to make a list on how i'm going to move forward jobwise and socially.
