    Love it :)

We are soon to be parted again, as ani is taken for some tlc.

So I'm guessing you won't be around so much for a few days as you fit in with visiting times? :D Would you like us to send grapes / flowers?

Hope ani is feeling better soon. ;) (You too of course).

Thanks to angels :A today. Where would we be without angels, ( notice the plural.)

So much for a day in bed. My washing had piled up because it has done nothing but rain, and then another stressful day, with all things related to ani, ( the love of my life.) I have finally managed to think clearly, as i am been railroaded into the situation where i know ani will be written off. What is the point of having insurance on an old car? Of course the answer is obvious. It protects the other driver in any accident, but it is of no benefit to me whatsoever. Any damage to ani means the car will be written off, purely based on age and therefore value. The upshot is i have to decided to bear the brunt of the cost of the repair myself, ( aherm,) as it is the only way forward for now. Less stress than trying to fight the cause of keeping the car on the road. What a waste of space. Insurance. Pah.

It was nearly teatime by the time i got in the garden, but i managed to plant the remaining sweet peas as they are now dying as they have become root bound. I have also planted the rest of the dianthus, and i have repotted the spring onions, and the geraniums. I think i have some potatoes growing. BH. Well there's something growing where i planted my sprouting potatoes
:rotfl: The lemon balm plant finally seems to be springing into action, too. Unfortunately it is the lupins taking the battering, at the moment, as they seem to be the gourmet food of this particular restaurant, for now. :o Which means in the other sweet pea patch the seedlings are continuing to grow, ( i shouldn't have said that.) New sc tool is a marvel. What a brilliant idea, if i do say so myself. It's been good to get out in the garden. I've lost where everything is up to. Oh, and i have lots of beetroot seedlings. :D They didn't take long. :p On the minus side, i bought 80 litres of potting compost, today, and i've used 20 litres already, but it was on special offer. Plenty left for? Still, it's more cost effective then buying small amounts. I've been caught out by that one already. I am worried i have been too conventional, though. It appears to be in vogue to garden at 11.00pm or 4.30 am? 4.30 am? That's impressive going. Total dedication, if you ask me :D

I am too tired to update with all the other stress factors in my life. Tomorrow i will spend a day in bed and take a day out of life. That's if it's not sunny? Besides, i may even watch the tennis tomorrow. It is a long time since i've had an interest in wimbledon. I'm not particularly into all the power play, nowadays. That's interesting virginia wade has made a similar comment. It just doesn't interest me. Bring back the old days of serve and volley. The last time i had interest in British tennis was in the olden days of Roger Taylor and VW when she won wimbledon in1977. Oh dear. For me it was starting to change when M N started to dominate womens tennis. All those games against Chris Evert who was more " old school ". I always wanted CE to win.

    ::T:T for :A:A!

:T:T for a day in bed, hope you get a good rest. You've managed a lot more in the garden than I have today but the weather's supposed to get colder next week so maybe things won't grow quite so fast? How long have those beetroot been in, a week? You will be eating your own potatoes and everything in a matter of weeks.

Compost - your next project? At least in summer it makes itself quickly (ish).

Hoping you get your rest. :)

    Definitely :A

    SNOW? :D:eek:

In that case, it will have to be gardening if it's fine, ( plesse rain - did i just say that?)

Not long. Probably, yes. Grown on the same window sill as the orchids. :rotfl:

Hoping you get your rest. :)

Sigh. So am i. Maybe i should just sack the gardening? However, it does serve it's purpose, ( therapy?)

I must've heard you calling my name :p Still need to repot my toms, although the little ones are coming along nicely now. On my list to do tomorrow. Also bought some begonias for 50p today to put into an empty pot - some have died / moulded away so the big orange depot was selling them off, but suits me as i only wanted a couple and the ones left look nice and healthy.

I'm like you ani, bought two massive bags of compost last time I decided I needed some - no idea when it will all get used - does compost go off?

Hope you're feeling a little better today, I agree it was most likely the meat - a bit of mould on bread or cheese generally doesn't do much harm, usually best to cut it off. Ankle still a bit dodgy on my side, first day without wearing a support bandage today and I must admit I can feel it.

    Hiya Ani

I reckon you need a PJ day tomorrow so wrap up under the duvet with your book and a big mug of earl grey and treat yourself. Actually a day in bed costs nothing so it`s a very good money saving tip ...:money::money::money:...I don`t know why Mr Lewis doesn`t mention it more actually.

Anyway I`m glad to hear that you managed to get a garage to fix ani too.:T

Enjoy the tennis...I shall be watching the Tour de France and some of the F1....crikey there`s loads of sport tomorrow!!

    Night x
