Another day in paradise. I'm fed up of paradise, and want a change of scenery.

What do you think of all this ben fogle and his dog stuff, yesterday? What has the world come to when we are debating about bereavement time off work for pets? The times, in the past when i have still continued life, heartbroken, over bereavement, whether they be pets, humans, vegetable, mineral? Honestly. Am i getting cynical or heartless? Cars. That's another matter.

I think different people react differently. After a loss many years ago, I needed to go back to work to have something to keep me occupied, but I wasn't capable of anything complicated for a while.

I know now my work was adversely affected after the accident in which my MiL died, but at the time I felt I just carried on.

I was discussing something similar with a colleague who lost a family member earlier in the year and both of us found it helped to be at work while there was something awful waiting to happen, because it was a safe zone where we weren't going to be faced with anything that would really rock us (and bear in mind we're both trained to cope with challenging behaviours so we weren't being completely soft). However I think I'd still need time away in the face of a bereavement because there'd be a while when I couldn't concentrate enough.

I've never had a dog. I've lost other pets and carried on but maybe the sort of relationship dog owners have with their dogs makes a difference?

Different people, different times, different pressures... who knows how any of us reacts when faced with something new?

Anyway that's enough of me musing for now. Give ani a pat on the bonnet for me, Ani, and let us know how things go today.

I got the scoring from a Facebook site and was going to try to pm the link to you, but I can't do that from there to here. Sorry.

Is this the sort of thing you were looking for? Very rigorous but it's about being able to do some kind of work not necessarily any work.

The whole esa thing is so very unfair now, and not really designed to assist many people that really need it.

Everyone keeps telling me how i'm in the middle of a system change and how much better it will be in april 2013. As it stands, i've just worked out it is my 17th week on basic rate esa, and it wil be my 19th week by the time i go for my assessment. And that's with all the support i'm receiving :o Looks like 3 months back pay again? That's if i'm lucky. Don't take anything for granted.

Bit of a delay in posting this. I got sidetracked / hassled by a company called albany. At least i'm alert enough for the warning bells to ring, for a change. From what i can see, i need them like i need a hole in the head, if that weren't so funny.

There are some true :A in this world and on mse, but i still stand by what i said earlier this week. Never do something you just don't feel comfortable with. Having said that, there are times when you have to take a giant leap? It is still difficult to come to terms with. Maybe one day.

I am tired and still feel ill,the pains are getting worse again, so until tomorrow. I am contemplating another day in bed. It has been a long, hard stressful week I still haven't read anymore of my book. I seriously need " time out ".

On the plus side, today, i have invented the perfect sc catcher. If i were in business, i would patent the idea. It is called the pick up tool, and it works perfectly. No more bending down, foraging in the undergrowth, etc. etc. Brilliant. Every home should have one. Available at your local £ shop priced? guess what. A pound.

All my sc's have been for a walk, tonight.

    A new change of tactics.

I'm sorry you are still feeling a bit dicky. But isn't it good when you take a giant leap into the dark and land safely? and don't you feel you've achieved something. :D Remember, nothing ventured, nothing gained
