Life after bankruptcy?

I guess you're right. Its a huge step for me, and yes, maybe it is a sign of weakness. Its difficult coming to terms with the fact you are no longer the person you once were.
So many people have said to me recently i'm a changed character, and i was always friendly, outgoing, got on with everybody. Now, i don't see how my behaviour is, at all, if that makes sense, but then i've been in this world of stress, or whatever, for so long now. And now, i guess the professionals are looking for changes in my behaviour as to when i might do it again. Thats quite scary.
Asking for and accepting help is deff not a sign of weakness, in fact, I'd say it's a sign of strength as it can be such a difficult thing to do.
You are no doubt a changed character, but that doesn't mean that you aren't still you. As we go through life experiences and events change us and continually shape us. I am not the same person who I was when I was 18, but although I can look at that age through rose tinted specs, there were still ups and downs - and I'm not really sure I'd go back there no matter what I might think sometimes.
Deff a lot colder here today - in fact, sky is looking rather grey and stormy - still we're on a hosepipe ban soon so I guess we should welcome any rain.
Hope the cold (yours not the weather) is feeling better xxFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Can't wait til it's lovely for the summer!
Back later lovely kind peoplexxx
Thats a strange concept. Summer? I can't think that far in advance, although i still stand my ground when i say the seasons are changing, and we always seem to get the best weather in march / april, these days. April has to be my 2nd favourite month. Gosh, is it getting to that time again? Another concept i can't imagine. Having another birthday, this year.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Woke up feeling very ill, and took me some time to get going, ( as it does these days.)
Unfortunately my character has changed to grumpy guide status :rotfl:
Its been quite spring like here today. Very cold, but there has been sunshine for most of the day, and there is some blue sky, as we speak.
You obviously don't live next door to me, then :rotfl:Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Well, the cold really kicked in, overnight, but managed to get out into the garden, eventually, and get some fresh air. Not even in walk to the park energy, today. Bought another plant today. Took my washing and everytime i walk past that shop, i buy a plant. Will have to take the alternative route, so i don't pass it. A cowslip for 80p. Still, at least i have an interest in something? Haven't spent much money this week, though, in the grand scheme of things, although buying plants is an extravagance? No, maybe i could call it therapy? Must have spent nearly a tenner on plants, including some slug pellets, as i discovered something finds the plants nutritious, ( or someone has been using them for target practise.) Spent a fiver on food? Is that all? And spent £118 on ani. I was dubious about taxing ani. After all, i'm not going to need ani, anymore. Someone on benefits can't afford to keep a car on the road? Mind you, this is still money i've worked for, and i've taxed ani and not paid the rent. However, i've heard you can have real problems getting a car back on the road after you've sorned it, and since i physically can't get ani off the road, ani has to be taxed. Only for 6 months, though. That should be it for ani bills for now. Nigh on a years mot, taxed, and repaired, and now standing around, doing nowt. It must be a week, since i've been out in the car. Still, at least i'm not buying petrol.
Got an unexpected opportunity to go out tonight. Can't make decisions. I've whiled away the time, writing this. and now its too late. I feel guilty because i should have made the effort. Then the voice of the sw echoes in my head. Stop being so hard on yourself. a) i can't afford to go b) I just don't belong in the outside world right now. Nobody can see what's going on in your head. Anyway, the music is enough to send you into a depression. Excuses, excuses. But i've got to stop living like a hermit, haven't i? No maybe, i don't have to do anything right now?Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

well if plants are therautic for you (which they obviously are) a few small plants aren't really an extravagance if they are helping you atm. Sorry to hear you aren't going out tonight, perhaps the change would have been good (though not sure about the music from your description
) you most certainly do belong in the outside world, and someone must've thought so too trying to get you out tonight. Hope the cold gets better quickly, and no, just checked over the fence, I'm deff not your neighbour - couple of rabbits, a washing line and a trampoline next to me....no daffs though.

A major blow here this morning.
A heavy frost last night and it looks as though all my plants are dead. Its a beautiful sunny day, though. I will have to wait and see if they all come back to life? In the meantime, no more gardening.
Strange how a small thing like that can affect your moodDebt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

I hope they aren't dead - and it's not such a small thing: for fruit growers, a frost now can reduce the crop a lot and anyway flowers are beautiful and you were enjoying them.
I hope some pick up later and they may. Daffs are pretty tough and the bulbs will certainly be okay. Just lavish some TLC on them and don't be tempted to chop off the leaves for a few weeks so the bulbs can build a food store for the next season. End of lecture (Miggy takes off gardening cap and steps off podium / soap box).
Anyway you probably know that (Miggy:) because I seem to remember you have greenfingers don't you? Or is that more indoor plants? I can grow plenty indoors but am never very successful with veg.
I am really hoping the frost didn't get to the garden here because the greengage tree is laden with white blossom and the fruit is delicious (when cooked with sugar before anyone gets ideas and eats them raw).
By the way, if it weren't for the frost and your abundant daffodils I would think from the description that you had moved next door to me (*waves*): if you have any dandelions could you save them for my rabbit please?Miggy

Just seen on an earlier post that one of your plants is a cowslip - aren't they a native species? It may come back.
If you get the free newspapers save a few sheets to put over plants if the forecast's cold... might help?Miggy

I've eaten raw greengages before, they reminded me of a cross between a goosberry and a plumFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
