Aesop, the shiny car is just that, all front. The amateur repair this weekend was a total failure. It looks like it rained heavily overnight, and it would appear matters are worse than they were when i started. I guess i'm not cut out to be a car mechanic. Back to the vaseline again, see if that works.

Ani, I've long thought you tie your identity and sense of worth in very closely with your work. No work of course means no money so no wonder you are down when there's nothing doing. Yet here we are with a week in which you have work - and I'm supposing the money is still not hitting your account - and we have the happier Ani.

I wonder why this is? I was thinking about it and I can imagine some good reasons for you to tie in 'self' and 'work'... just remember we who don't know you as your working self still find 'value' in you. :)

    Hi Mike

Lovely to see you posting. I watched the rebuild and cried at the end.

Can't remember who was miggy, etc now. :o

I hope one day that ani can post the same way, that the car is fixed, no longer leaking, etc and that life is good.

Miggy, as for work, head down, bottom up, mouth shut. yesterday one of my colleagues was probing how much rent I pay. I deliberately didn't tell her, just said enough. If I told her, it would be all around work!

I tried to help her out and she just behaved silly, so I have given up giving advice at work now. They can all go stuff themselves.

I wuz miggy - but I didn't help at the Big Build - unless you count my partying skills. :D

Your work sounds worse and worse. :( It's not their business how much rent you pay of course... the cheek of it!

Ani - you okay? Hoping you're just at work, it's been a long time since you last posted (like yesterday evening).

P.S. Ani/Mike - you are two of the three people I keep telling to write a book.

I have written three, not that many people read them... :(

Thanks for the post lisa /mike?

What more can i say? xx

No need to say anything. Maybe it will be the right thing at the right time, or else it won't.

    Mike

but I do look round if anyone says 'Lisa' which is a bit weird. There's a book running on whether you're a man or a woman. I reckon a bloke, but does it matter? Gender is very overrated...

    Typical understatement from Miggy...

She will never know how she and others like her who didn't appear on the telly helped me and my family.

    Still waters run deepest.

Eternally grateful. You know that. x
